Q&A
Wow, third episode in a row where the team who came 2nd last got eliminated in the next episode.
Team yellow have they're own hugging choreography?
Boo!!! I wanted Derek and Shelicia (sp) to make it further. They were good people.
I do hope winners would be between Ricky/Cesar and Juan/Shane. Only ones I like this season lol.
What do you have against the Firefighter Moms or the girls who like girls who like to hike?
They're not good.
Both of them have had bad showings, but they're mostly held back by the shared departure times and lack of equalizers.
are they going to leave S. America this season?
One more SA leg, followed by two Caribbean countries, then the finale in Philly.
I don’t believe so
They have to return to North America for the finale.
oh wow really? i never watched the other covid seasons so i wasn’t sure if they stayed in such a smaller area or not
34 was a bit bigger with Iceland and Jordan mixed in with Europe.
The unconfirmed rumor is this season was supposed to get a 2nd charter for Australia and South Africa but it allegedly fell through
The alliance war must happen next week for drama's sake
How do Angie & Danny want to run their own race this leg but they would’ve been eliminated if it wasn’t for the other team/soccer players taking pity on Angie?
They didn't want to run their own race this Leg. They specifically said an alliance is best in a Mega Leg.
I remember them complaining in the preview for this week that the other teams kept following them and they were annoyed. They seem to only want to be in the alliance when it benefits them
Well, all I just have to say is see y'all next week. 💕
Vinny's ox will be broken next week lol
Still in South America next week?
Last SA leg.
The pilots weren’t in the preview. You think they fly through it?
Love the Grandparents!! Team Yellow!
Are they still staying in Latin America 😅
alliance struggling on the preview of the next episode we won
Uh oh, Vinny raising his voice — spicy next week.
The alliance emplodes?
It was a good run for the grandparents bless them
It sucks that there isn’t even gonna be any U-Turns, now that would have been some good drama
We need the Uturn so badly. There is some tensions now.
I’m almost shedding a tear for Derek & Shelissa, and I’ve never done that before. Such a shame they had to go and we’re stuck with Angie & Danny.
these type of alliances will kill the show. no joke
Girls are livid!!!
and with that i really don't care about any of the teams left except for the boyfriends and pilots 😭
I like the Girls who like girls who like to hike and the Firefighters.
I hope they dominate the rest of the way.
Also, how ironic that Danny started the episode with the whole "we just wanna survive" but the blocking the women from finishing the detour wasn't even going to put them in last, since the Grandparents were clearly behind them, as they never saw them during the Roadblocks.
The nature of the detour was only three stations. They weren’t stopping the girls, they were taking the spots the girls WILLING gave up, knowing they could finish it together. What, they should have waited until the girls finished? They stayed until they finished the puzzle, just like anyone should. Just like switching detours— you risk someone else just powering through if you leave. It’s a calculation that didn’t work out for the girls but how can you blame the alliance for the girls mistake?
I don't think it was a dumb strategy but even Danny admitted it wasn't nice strategy. I don't necessarily blame them for the decision (it's a flaw with the game overall), but they still did it intentionally.
I respect the move, ultimately, but the decision made does contradict Danny's earlier confessional a little bit (unless they really believed the Grandparents were ahead and they were fighting against last place). And I can be personally upset at the move at the same time as understanding and respecting it.
They intentionally took up the spaces so they could finish first. They didn’t try to block the others, they didn’t want to give up their spot. It’s not like there was a fourth spot they sabotaged. The other two teams were also working together and asked for help. They would have done the same thing— they just didn’t think of it. It’s not nice but that’s the same thing as a U-Turn etc. It’s a mechanism of the game to cause drama and allow people to make strategic moves so it’s not all comp based.
Meanwhile the fingerprint expert:
You are the last team to arrive . I am sorry to tell you that you have been PHILIMINATED!
We lost a good one 😭🫡
Someone please make a Reddit thread bashing this super alliance crap. This cannot be in the next season. It’s painfully boring and predictable. Watching teams work together shows each team’s strength and weakness. It also shows their character.
Well, it wasn't in the next season. Season 35 was filmed later and didn't have this alliance crap.
Fuck your patronizing "nice job" Walla. Girls are livid. I want them on the warpath next week.
Angie & Danny upset that the other two teams followed them to the Pit Stop?! WTF?
Angie immediately getting into "we wanna fly solo now that were done and you arent" after she got bailed out hard at the race course really soured my opinion of her. They could have easily been the ones going home if she DNF'd the roadblock.
Imagine the original timeline where this leg would have been two weeks in a row. Combining the two parts of the megaleg was absolutely the right decision.
SIGHS
Does Danny and the mom know that the other two teams are willing to be in an alliance with them cause they know they can beat them?
Meanwhile, Danny is running the alliance so he’s bringing people he thinks he can out strategize & out navigate. Furthermore, now that Angie is through the roadblocks, a lot of challenges have puzzle/memory, esp in the finale. He’s thinking about the odds too
Yeah, probably. But it gets Angie and Danny further in the race. Like people are saying, Angie and Danny absolutely would've gone home if it weren't for the alliance.
That sucks because the grandparents may still be in it if Amber didn’t do the puzzle for all of them. I feel really bad for them. Producers should be stepping in and stopping this insufferable behavior.
Yeah, the grandparents are honestly the third or fourth most well rounded imo, and would've placed higher a couple of times if not for the alliance
GOOD RACE
Im mad af that the alliance kicked out the grandparents. One of the more capable, fun, and friendly teams imo
I mean, I don't think that was the specific reason for the grandparents getting eliminated. Derek and Shelisa were so far behind that the editing didn't even bother creating suspense.
Switching detours after struggling with the first choice.
Getting lost on the way to the Roadblock.
Struggling to solve a tile puzzle
None of these had to do with the alliance.
I think the puzzle could have held back rod and his wife, and Danny's mom for quite a while just based on the completely nonsensical way they were putting that puzzle together. Plus, the doctor team can't read a map to save their life, they easily could have been lost again if it wasn't for Danny
I'm gonna miss seeing Shelisa the quotable queen of season 36 in my screen. I really wish one of her quotes was a part of at least one episode. :(
ooh danny and angie very quick to benefit from the alliance but dropping the ball on navigating
They clearly have a deal. The other teams ran ahead too, Angie last to the mat. It’s get us three done then we can all make a run for it, including navigation. Knowing the other teams can outrun them, they found a way to balance it. This is a fair deal imo
They led the navigating part the entire time At which point it's every team for themselves?
On the way to the Pit Stop. They said they should separate and go their own way. The other two teams still followed them and Angie & Danny were annoyed.
Ah man those two have me emotional
I'm going to miss Shelisa giving Derek shit with her commentary
I want her to narrate the remaining season and throw shade on the others. STARTING WITH ANGIE & DANNY.
I'm honestly pissed no one chose the fingerprint detour :(
Same, it looked so neat!
The grandparents might have done it off-screen.
If that's the case, I'm sad we didn't see it! :(
Wait can someone tell me what Angie did, I missed it
Alliance shared answers with each other and then stayed around to help and when the other 2 teams started they asked her and she just said "Danny did it all, I dont know, ehhhhh" If youre gonna alliance suck it up and dont give a fake excuse.
Danny tried to help the girls and she said “no just tell them you don’t know let’s go.” Then he tried anyway and she pulled him away.
Thanks
Are Danny and Angie the villains now ,
Welp. Don't really love the other teams now that these 2 are gone. I guess Sunny and Bizzy.
Damn Grandparents. Rooted for them from The start.
Derek and Shelisa didn’t even get an edit for the detour. Wow.
I WANTED TO SEE THEM DO THE FINGER PRINTS
I hope that comes back as a mandatory task in another season. That sounded so cool.
Now you trynna put your arm around the lesbian couple? I’d be like, I’m good thanks.
GIRLS WHO LIKE GIRLS WHO LIKE TO HIKE BUT WHO DON’T LIKE ANGIE AND DANNY
So much alliance fighting not even enough time for grandparents.
GIRLS WHO LIKE GIRLS WHO LIKE TO GET SIXTH PLACE
