Sunshine Steve Forrest turns 34 years old today.

Steve was born on September 25th 1986 in Modesto, California. He made his first experiences as a drummer with the bands Hayduke and Hire.
During the “Meds” tour he was a member of Placebo's support act Evaline, and that's how he got to know Stefan and Brian. After Steve Hewitt was fired they asked him if he would like to become the band's new drummer.
So Steve Forrest joined Placebo in 2008, his first live show with them was the well-known acoustic concert at Angkor Wat temple in Cambodia on December 7th that year. He clearly brought a new and positive energy into the band. “I consider myself a pretty pleasant guy. I like to lead a happy life. I’m a glass half full kind of guy,” he said in an interview with Popspoken in 2013 (full article below).
Steve was a permanent member of the band for almost eight years and produced the albums ”Battle for the sun” and ”Loud like love” with them. In February 2015 it was announced that he had left Placebo to concentrate on his own music career with his band Planes which he founded in London during the time he was with Placebo. ”The split was very amicable”, as a statement on the official Placebo page said.
Unfortunately Steve was forced to disband Planes in early 2016 and relocate back to the United States with his then-wife Xarah Xavier due to difficulties surrounding his UK visa.
Since August 2020 he is married to Tiffany who is pregnant with their first child.
