ELHS is a great school to attend. There are many support services offered to students, such as mentoring, tutoring etc.
East Lansing is a diverse school but faces some challenges on discipline with in the school. The sports are great they have great programs across the board.
East Lansing High School offers an overall positive experience. The best part is the diverse community, fostering a rich cultural exchange. The dedicated teachers stand out, passionate about their subjects and students' success. The range of extracurriculars is commendable, promoting holistic development. However, the overall design of the facility is a bit chaotic, hindering optimal learning environments. Bullying and school security, while currently being addressed by administration and the superintendent, remain a concern. More robust intervention strategies are likely to be required. As with all schools, more mental health resources and behavioral health support is essential. Streamlining communication between administration, faculty, and students would enhance overall cohesion. Overall, East Lansing High School is doing a good job of trying to make everyone happy in a city with a lot of opinions.
The teachers are really nice, they spend time helping you with any of your needs. Our school has 40+ different types of clubs, all student led so anyone can find something that fits their interests.
My overall experience at East Lansing high school has had its ups and downs. I had a lovely experience when it came to academics, extra curricular activities and learning. However when It came to relationships and bullying the school district did little to nothing to help and cater to the unique needs children may have. I remember when I was young being bullied to the point where I was crying and didn't want to go to school, my mom fought and fought with the school and they did nothing to try and change the experience I was having, the conflict was only solved over time because of my mother and the other students mother. Mind you, this all took place in fourth grade. As I entered the junior high/middle school I was eager to finally have a fresh start and make new friends, but I found that I was receiving the same treatment from people and I felt as though no one had any interest in being my friend. Overall, academically I do feel that I learned a lot though, that I will take with me.
ELHS is overall a decent place to go to school. The teachers are great, the students generally get along well, and there are lots of opportunities for students academically. Unfortunately, safety has been a bit of a concern as of late, but the district has proposed a plan to address it.
They tend to let you believe this is a beautiful school with lots of diversity, welcoming, and kindness.
My experience at east Lansing high school started during the pandemic, we had online school my freshman year, which was sadly not the most organized. Throughout my schooling, I've seen a decline in the quality of education I have received. The part that makes east lansing is the community, which is a very loving, strong community that helps with support for us students.
East Lansing High School is a standout school, defined by its diversity in people, experiences, and opportunities. The community and school culture stands out as one that unites many differing people and forms tight-knit bonds that will last a lifetime. The students are fortunate to have dedicated and passionate teachers who always go above and beyond to help understand the material and reach their full potential. Students are given the opportunity to explore interests and develop important skills like teamwork, leadership, and communication through sports, music, and clubs. Most importantly, the school opens the door for student voices and provides for change when it is needed. The school does, however have its struggles. There are commonly conflicts between students, and many of the faculty are unpopular among students. Nevertheless, East Lansing High School has the power to better itself and triumph all the struggles that come its way because that is the power of community.
East Lansing High School suceeds in many areas from outstanding athletics and college partnerships to advanced science and math courses. The diversity and opportunity presented make ELHS a great place to learn. If I had to suggest some changes, I would focus on mental health support and outreach as well as fair focus on all athletics regardless of the money they make.
The community is really outgoing. The teachers are very welcoming and friendly. This school sets you up for success.
It’s a really good high school and the teachers and staff really care about the students. Student life is really fun and there are a lot of opportunities to try new things.
East Lansing High School is like a family. We all know each other and everyone is very welcoming. We are super diverse and there's zero tolerance for discrimination of any kind. I definitely recommend trying to get it here because it's definitely worth it.
It has a great community aspect. Parents care for their children and the school and wants to make sure that their kids are getting the best. There isn't as much diversity in staff as there is in student body but besides that the teachers do their jobs efficiently. Kids are for the most part kind and respectful of each other. Teachers and counselors are helpful and making sure that students get the help that they need.
Pretty big high school. Lots of diversity, teachers are great and school is very clean. Great athletics.
East Lansing High School has amazing teachers and students. The music program is exceptional compared to other schools, and I've been happy to take part in other activities.
East Lansing is one of, if not the top high schools that bear diversity, resources, great staff, a prodigious sports program, wonderful STEAM courses, and charming culture. This academy conveys a very advantageous and desirable environment for young modest students to develop adequate traits and charisma to propel the future. East Lansing High School also gives students a family to lean on when they can't quite figure things out. Overall, East Lansing High is a very desirable institute of education leaving other schools lacking in comparison.
