Is the 10 dungeons per hour limitation account wide or character only?

Question

I do 10 ML normal runs in about 33m for mk2 farm, so I thought it'd fit nicely to do one m+ on other char when I hit the cap. Having done that twice, I'm confused as first time I was able to enter and do a run, after just hitting the cap minutes earlier, but then when entering SECOND run 20m later I had entered too many and couldn't enter. So now I don't know how it works and whether the whole farm half an hour / do m+ in half an hour is viable strat or not.

Limited by realm afaik. Timer starts when you enter the first instance and lasts 1 hour.

It is limited by realm. And the lockout afaik, puts a timer on each dungeon run. So you get a new dungeon run each hour up to a limit of 10 "cooldowns". So lets say you use 5 minutes per run, you use 50 minutes to clear 10 runs. Which means that you have to wait 10 minutes to clear 1 more dungeon, and in 15 min you can clear another one, continuing until its completely reset.

That was my other problem too. I started first run at 10:00 and couldn't start next round at 11:02. So I assume lockout starts from getting saved, which in my case happens at end of the run as I only kill the last boss. Thus the lockout period is actually ~63-64m in my case. And I suppose I have to start counting runs and only do 9 if I want to do the m+ run in between.

The timer starts as soon as you enter a new instance of the dungeon, not when you finish it. If you run inside the dungeon, then out, reset it, then in again, it counts as 2 different runs.

Edited

If your farming drops, get "rarity" it tracks how many times you have killed the boss that drops.

So if you start on run 64 you know 74 will be your final run before lock out.

It's a great addon to have anyway as when you mouse over any mob/boss that drops a collectable it tells you, what rare item drops (mount, toy, heirloom, etc) the chance it drops, how many times you have killed it and wether or not you have already collected it.

I think it's DBM that does the same. I just don't pay attention to it, but it tracks the boss kills. 350 or something for Mogul as is :> Although I don't know if these addons are counting per char per difficulty, per char overall, per all chars combined per diff or all chars combined overall.

I think it does, it isn't DBM main purpose though.

Rarity is built for one thing, farming collectables like mounts. It's the only thing it does and it does it really really well. If you like farming for collectables I think it's a must addon.

I've had it a few times where I'm just chilling around and accidentally mouse over a mob that drops a mount, pet or toy and had no idea it dropped anything decent. Can be really helpfull.

It also takes a screenshot when something big like a mount drops while your running around your room going "FUCK YEH IT DROPPED YEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

I always used to forget and wish I had.

Well as I am lazy in learning what drops what, I guess it could be useful to have tooltip to tell which mobs have a chance for something. Got few pets in Draenor with the map addon, handynotes, that did a similar thing. Thanks.
