My overall experience with attending Rosemead High School has always been dynamic and intriguing. Almost every day there's something interesting going on, that being a new school event, a spirit day, something new happened with friends, and so on. I've been given opportunity after opportunity at this school to do amazing things, like make impacts in my community through club participation, encourage younger generations to play sports through soccer, and even experiment with possible future careers like bioscience through internships. The people of the school are quite amazing too, with loving teachers open to hearing about everything that's happened in your day, to expressive students who are easy to get along with and share interesting views.
My time at Rosemead High School has been an interesting experience. It was a good high school experience at first but it started going down hill last school year. Many issues with scandals, new administration, and strict rules were prominent which worsened students' high school experiences. I love the diversity, culture, and engaging events here but most teachers don't know how to teach or refuse to teach. There are many changed that I wish to be made but one of the changes I hope to see is that many of the rules regarding tardiness and absences are less strict. I agree that attendance is important but it seems like we can't even get sick without getting after school detention or Saturday school. Some days, my classmates are so burnt out that they want to take a day off for their mental health, but they risk being given detention or Saturday school.
As a senior at Rosemead High School, I really enjoyed a majority of my teachers because they showed they cared and knew what they were teaching. However, students are sometimes kept out of the loop on information regarding the school sometimes. The only changes I would like to see from the school would be more effort in trying to get students to seek out information and opportunities.
