Arun Vaidyanathan is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter and producer who is primarily known for his work in the South Indian film industry. He made his directorial debut with the 2009 Kollywood thriller film Achchamundu! Achchamundu which became a critical and commercial success and was screened at several international film festivals. Subsequently, Arun directed Mohanlal in the Mollywood political satire film Peruchazhi (2014) and penned the screenplay for the acclaimed 2013 romantic comedy Kalyana Samayal Saadham. Other significant film credits include the multilingual neo-noir crime thriller Nibunan (2017), which he wrote and directed. His 2018 release includes Kurukshethram.
