The new 'Carpino Lounge cafe / bar, due to open in the former Barclays Bank building in Epping High Street in June, is seeking permission for an outside seating area comprising 12 tables and 44 chairs.
The seating is proposed in a line outside the front windows, along the frontage where the bank cash machine was located, and by the side windows between its entrance and Costa Coffee.
The new venue operated by cafe / bar group Loungers plc, is expected to open on Wednesday, June 26, creating 30 jobs.
The 'Carpino Lounge' will be open daily for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks, including full childrens’, gluten-free and vegan menus.
The pavement licence application seeks permission for the outdoor tables and chairs to be used Monday to Sunday between 8am and 10pm.
The application will be considered by Epping Town Council's planning and general purposes committee on Tuesday evening before a final decision is taken by Epping Forest District Council.
