Is it unrealistic to want a totally straight life (HOCD)

I need support - advice welcome

I realised that my issue isn’t purely on my sexuality but perfectionism, I never thought this way until my OCD theme came but I keep wanting to live a completely straight life and I think this may be the cause of my problems but I realised that not straight person is perfect, I keep having moments where I’ll think something is girl but then it ends up being a man (femboy/sissy stuff) and then even though I’m not aroused anymore I still feel anxiety for feeling that arousal but I kind of realised that this can happen to any straight person.

The main cause of my problems is that I’m from the hood. Even if it’s false attraction having any sort of attraction to another male is something no one would talk about and it made me think no one else goes through but I feel like they do

Cure to HOCD for me was to stop checking IF I was gay or not. Basically not caring, by this logic: "my life wouldn't really shange that much if I were gay and I wouldn't really be harming anybody mentally of physically."

Then I realized that I have only ever been attracted to women and that anything else that wasn't a woman was simply me confusing some random weak emo goth dudes for women.

(Keep in mind that kissing the homies goodnight sleep does not count as an homosexual activity)

You might want to visit an psychologist to avoid getting more fucked up and debilitating themes (HOCD is lightweight).

Omg if hocd is lightweight then what's next? Oh no are the mini obsessions a precursor to something even more horrible?

Yes but there was a doubt in my mind where I thought “this looks like a dude, fuck it I don’t care if it’s a dude” I said this because my OCD makes me think every woman is a man and I tried to fight the thoughts by saying “maybe, maybe not” and then it backfired on me because it was actually a man but then I lost attraction, it’s so weird

Fist thing first, stop watching porn if you do I assume you do, that can mess up anyones brain regardless of OCD.

Seeing something you find disturbing the ocd will ruminate on it.

Whatever that may be whatever particular ocd variant.

Also try to desexualize your mind just in general healthy for anyone, ocd or not.

r/pornfree may be a good place for you
