And just like that, a famous face has joined the cast
The bad news is that we won't be getting Season 3 of And Just Like That... until 2025. The good news is that Season 3 of And Just Like That... has finally started filming. And although Sara Ramírez's Che Diaz and Karen Pittman's Professor Nya Wallace won't be returning for the new season, we now know that we'll be a very famous face has been added to the cast. We can only hope that someone has already started writing the Che and Nya in the City spin-off, but until then we'll be waiting for more And Just Like That... news.

In tandem with Sarah Jessica Parker's May 1 confirmation that And Just Like That... Season 3 has officially gone into production, Rosie O'Donnell also announced via Instagram that she has joined the cast as "Mary." In her caption, O'Donnell wrote, "here comes mary," and we can't really sum it up better than that.
Variety reported that the series is set to begin production "later this year for a 2025 premiere on Max."

In March 2024, it was reported that Karen Pittman will not return as Professor Nya Wallace.
In February 2024, it was reported that Sara Ramírez will not reprise their role as Che Diaz.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis will return for Season 3. It was confirmed that other cast members, like Mario Cantone, Sarita Choudhury, and Evan Handler, will be returning as well.
The real question is... was that brief phone call really the last we've seen of Samantha (Kim Cattrall)? For now, showrunner Michael Patrick King isn't promising anything: "Fans seem to be having their own expectations in such a micro way that I can't even get into the conversation," he told Variety. "I really thought it was a little treat, and I would never build any expectations on more."
