This is a great sounding pressing.
      Nice soundstage, imaging and detail.

Saw them play in Honolulu last year & they are still putting out a great show.

Surprised not to see many reviews of this album, much less the pressing! This is an amazing sounding pressing, very clear sonically, great soundstage, and super clean mixing.

My copy also included the large poster. The album label was designed with stars from the album design.

My copy has the black and white bar code of this version, but with the gold promo stamp, as described in the "first pressing" version

Amazing pressing of a amazing album. These guys are so underrated. This was my favourite band growing up. Sound quality is top notch.

Similarly to other underground acts of the '80s, the Psychedelic Furs impacted pop culture when one of their songs featured to memorable effect in a John Hughes movie. In the case of the Psychedelic Furs, the song in question was already in existence and actually inspired the film's title before being re-recorded specially for the tie-in soundtrack. From the outset, the Psychedelic Furs were a decidedly post-punk band with very understated pop sensibilities. Not until dispensing with kooky frontman Richard Butler's initial trademark sarcastic tone and lyrical morbidity did they start to make headway. Already sensing that their gloomy, art rock-inflected sound and punk attitude was no longer relevant, the Psychedelic Furs took a hard left musically, embracing conventional song structures with an almost romantic bent and employing expanded arrangements and instrumentation. Upon refining certain elements of their sound, the Psychedelic Furs reached the international stage. Courtesy of MTV promotion of their latest batch of singles, all of which displayed unadulterated melodicism, the band finally achieved chart success in the U.S. as well as their native UK. It was a turning point for the band, incentivizing them to edge further away from post-punk, new wave and college rock territory.

"Mirror Moves", released in 1984, perfects the shimmering pop-oriented formula previously developed by the band. Now fully implementing classic songcraft and a slicker, sophisticated charge, the material herein is among the finest by the band, perhaps even 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘵. Determined by the hit singles "The Ghost In You" and "Heaven", the album was destined to sell as many copies as their previous record, and it did, becoming their second to reach gold status. As produced by Keith Forsey, the band sounded wholly unlike their old selves, but that was primarily why the album worked as well as its predecessor, which was also greatly supported and enhanced by its production. Having already exhausted his low-spirited rasp on their inherently sparse initial outings and added some much-needed brightness and glossiness on the third, "Mirror Moves" finds Richard Butler at his most listenable, with many songs boasting some truly epic vocal performances not to mention musical and lyrical content. From the aforementioned classic singles to the radio-ready, stylish and melancholy "Here Come Cowboys," "Heartbeat," "Alice's House," and "Highwire Days", every track has its place and feels integral, forming a hugely satisfying experience that is at once strangely moving and ceaselessly tense, rousing and dramatic.
