The Robinsons are a family of 16 members, of eccentric and futuristic inventors who appear in the 2007 Disney animated film Meet the Robinsons, based on the book A Day with Wilbur Robinson by William Joyce. They are the adoptive family of the protagonist, Lewis Robinson, a 12-year-old orphan and genius inventor from the past. The Robinsons play a major role in the film, as they are the ones who inspire Lewis to pursue his dreams and embrace his destiny. They also help him stop the Bowler Hat Guy and Doris, who are revealed to be the future versions of Goob and Lewis' failed invention, respectively. They also welcome Lewis into their family, as Bud and Lucille adopt him and rename him Cornelius.
