This restaurant is a part of the Monjuso Japanese-style hotel (ryokan) right at the heart of Amanohashidate. It's about 5 minutes on foot from Amanohashidate train station. It opens to the general public only for lunch as the breakfast and dinner are reserved for the...overnight guests of the Monjuso Hotel. The restaurant is very open with huge windows towards the canal section of the Amanohashidate beach. Often ferries, power boats and sightseeing boats are seen right outside, but without really any noise. There is a limited number of terrace tables next to the canal. It offers various lunch for about JPY1,800 to JPY4,000 per person. Wine, beer and sake selections are good for the washoku lunch. When we visited on a national holiday, it was crowded and service was unfortunately very poor. Order taking was slow and the server in fact received meal orders without asking any drink orders. Accordingly, we were served with meals first, and a few minutes afterward our drinks. The restaurant may not have enough staff to deal with the holiday crowd. The dining room is cleanly presented, but since it has a tiled floor, serving noise as well as guests' voices made the space noisy.More
