First and foremost, this hotel has been recently renovated so I recommend ignoring reviews and photos prior to 2020. And also don't be put off by its 2-star amenity rating as I initially was as it offered everything I was looking for. I am jumping on the bandwagon with a rave review of my first stay at any Radisson brand hotel. The location is ideal for people visiting the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park like we were. The front desk even offered a discount on standard admission tickets. It's also conveniently located right off the Interstate exit. We had a room in the back of the hotel on the first floor. The bed closest to the window had traffic noise. Our room was good sized and the new mattresses, other furniture, and linens were all comfortable. If I could change one room offering, I'd like a room with a handicap accessible shower in a double room with queen beds. There was coffee, tea, hot chocolate, flavored water all available by the front desk. They had free internet, free breakfast (modified for co-vid of course), free parking included in the reasonable room rate. There is a pool and workout room in the basement level. There is also a business center. Although there is no on-site restaurant there is one you can walk to out front of the hotel. All the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. May be my expectations were set low, but this stay exceeds my average expectations and I will definitely consider staying at another Country Inn & Suites based on this excellent experience.…

We have stayed at County Inn and Suites several times now and our experience has been unbelievably amazing each time. The entire hotel is pristine! Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The entire staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. There was never a hesitant when needing extra towels, toiletries, etc. The pool area was clean, and the arcade was an awesome amenity. The laundry room was also very convenient. The continental breakfast offered many food options and was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is in the Grand Rapids area. We just can't say enough about our experience. We will be coming back soon!!!

I took my Mother and daughter to Grand Rapids for Thanksgiving and we stayed in a king suite for 2 days. It was a true 5 star experience. The entire property, including our suite, was spotless. Don't think I've ever seen a cleaner place. Very new and modern looking as well. The lobby had a nice little fireplace area and the stairs leading up are decorated for Xmas and my mom said it reminded her of something from the Hallmark channel. The breakfast was very good with a large assortment of items. Cereals, pastries, fruit and yogurt station, waffles, and a hot station with eggs, bacon, hash bowns etc. They have a pool, hot tub, fitness center, game room and multiple conference rooms. Our suite was nice as well. The living room and bedroom both had a TV and the living room has a pull out bed. The location is also perfect. There is literally everything you need within miles of the hotel. The Frederick Meijer gardens and sculpture park is a half mile away, countless restaurants and fast food of all varieties and class levels and not too far from downtown or Craig's Cruisers. Oh and I forgot to mention the staff was absolutely wonderful. I could not have asked for a better experience and I will always stay here if possible when I visit Grand Rapids again.…

The building, pool, and room were excellent. Easy to reach other sites from this spot at interstate and east side Beltline.Breakfasts were tasty with 2 hot trays and simple selection of typical items. Staff were visible and kept items refilled. Lobby coffee and cookies all day.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on a trip through Grand Rapids to visit the Meijer Sculpture Gardens. If you are wanting a hotel close to the Gardens, this it. It is only a 5 minute drive to the Gardens from this location. The hotel staff were very welcoming and professional. Easy check-in. Hotel is very clean and the rooms are spacious. We had a King Suite which is divided into the bedroom and a nice living area with sofa, chairs, desk and large TV. They provide a very nice breakfast in the morning with a large selection. An added benefit - there is a very nice restaurant right across the parking lot (Gravity Taphouse and Grill) which provides for a very nice, close option for dinner or lunch. The Country Inn & Suites by Raddison is a pleasant hotel with decent prices. It sits on the east side of the city, and has good access to many restaurants, schools and businesses that have sprung up along the Beltine. It is only 15 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the downtown area. It has a competent staff, and they are running the operation in conformity with the health rules mandated by the pandemic. Their pool is shutdown, all guests and the staff wear masks, and the morning breakfast has been reduced to drinks and packaged snacks. Social distancing is mandated in the eating area and guests are encouraged to take their breakfast back to their room if possible. The hotel has no restaurant or bar, but next door is the Gravity Tap Room which provides both for those who need such. I found the employees to be very friendly, the room was neat and clean, and the nightly stay base price was under a hundred dollars, so overall it is a very good choice.…

I needed a safe place for our high school team to stay overnight and I am thrilled with how the Country Inn and Suites handled our needs. Stephanie from the front desk called me prior to our arrival to arrange a prepackaged breakfast for our athletes that was available at check in so we would not over crowd the breakfast area. She also arranged a meeting room for us to eat together as a team as well as an area for the parents to watch the live stream of the athletes as there were no spectators allowed. As if this was not enough, the hotel did not charge us for a late check-out. This let parents be comfortable waiting for their kids to finish their competition. I was worried the parents would have to sit in the paring lot, but instead the hotel showed great hospitality by allowing everyone to stay either in their rooms or the large meeting room. The service was exceptional, so much so that I opted to spend a second night. I will certainly be staying here on my next trip to Grand Rapids.…

The four of us came here over Labor Day weekend for their golf package. The hotel was just wonderful. Big rooms with a queen and king bed. Big breakfast eating area with warm food options like waffles, eggs, sausage, etc., not just cheap continential breakfast. Great location right off the freeway.

My family and I stayed here for a three day weekend and could not have been happier. We were upgraded to a suite and the room was clean and quiet, the pool was open and clean, there was a small game room/arcade and a fitness center. The breakfast was continental, but had a lot to choose from and was included in the stay which saved us from paying for breakfast and driving to find someplace to eat. Short drive to the Zoo, Meijer Gardens, and Downtown GR. The room also came with a Grand Rapids Culture Pass, which saves you on the zoo and museums in the area. We did hit a snag on that as the culture pass website wasn't working properly to accept the promo code, but the hotel offered to make up the difference and cover our cost if the GRCP folks don't. Very kind and courteous customer service. We will 10% be staying here again and will look to Country Inn/Radisson first for future stays in other locations. Great experience!…
