Texas Christian University's campus is beautiful and so much fun. There is always something happening on campus for students to go to in between study hours and classes. There are so many study spots around campus I'm sure I haven't discovered every single one. I have loved my experience at TCU so far.
I've enjoyed the experience and love the people I've met and the opportunities I've had! Some professors are more concerned about work than about students, but overall, professors really care about your education! The atmosphere is welcoming and fun!
I love going to TCU! The professors are brilliant and the people are kind. I am a music student and love singing the the choral ensembles. I am grateful to be a graduate student at TCU!
Overall, I have had a good college experience! I love TCU, although one thing it lacks is good dining options. The professors truly care about their students and are always willing to help. They have good office hours as well. I do not regret my decision to attend TCU.
What did I like about TCU? I love the communities that you can find and friends you can make wherever you go. I love that there is always something to do. What would I like to see change? The professors can be unreasonable with grading or lack luster when it comes to teaching the subject.
Transferred from community college very easily! Credits worked out and I was able to transfer right into my major/upper division classes. Professors are great and want you to succeed. Campus is beautiful and easy to walk. My only negatives are that it is harder as a transfer to make friends if you’re not in Greek life and the parking situation for commuters is terrible.
TCU has given me countless opportunities to be successful, both currently in school and post-graduation. I'm extremely grateful for professors who care about me, classes that challenge me, academic programs that have provided me with encouraging peers and increased my professional network, a supportive community and incredible memories! My experience has been defined by trying uncomfortable activities and growth through challenges, which was not only provided, but encouraged by TCU.
Mechanical Engineering student, I have no campus life. Though the few events I have gone to was a fun experience, especially the football games. Academically TCU is made for business and nursing not much STEM presence on the national stage.
TCU IS THE BEST!!! The small amount of students with the big school spirit makes TCUs community incomparable to anything else. People here are the kindest, you will always find SO many smiles! Additionally, life here is so fun! There is always something going on, from goat yoga to bouncy houses. Being a student here is the best decision I have ever made.
Love this school! Had a great experience so far. Lots of Greek and party life, but no pressure to be a part of either! Lots of ways to make great connections and great religious life. However, over-charging for what the school offers.
I love this school!! Texas christian university has been a wonderful home to me. Housing is a pain because they accept too many students. The night life is always fun; there is always something to do on campus and off campus. A lot of the fun activities are over in Dallas which is about 30-45 minutes in the car, but totally worth the drive. The people are amazing and the classes are the BEST
I had the best time at TCU! Fort Worth was such a welcoming city and was such a wonderful place to be a student. The campus is small enough to walk everywhere and was such a safe space. The professors were wonderful and really enjoyed what they taught. It was a school where you got out of it, what you were willing to put into your time there. I felt like there was a place for everyone and I miss being there. My college years were some of my fondest and I made some of my best friends there.
My overall experience at TCU I would say was a positive one. While I did desire a campus that had more students of color, like myself, I am forever grateful for the stellar education I received there. I definitely proudly claim the title of "Horned Frog For Life," and I am glad I made the decision to attend TCU out of any other university. The student support services, the local uplifting and inviting community, and the undeniable full-rounded education taught, are resources I will cherish having my whole life.
Through the close-knit community, students are given the opportunity to thrive in their field of study. Unlike most other universities, the students avoid competition and instead pull others along to success. With this and the amazing faculty, the education is like no other. With all of this, the campus life is amazing with great sports and endless activities.
My experience at TCU was absolutley amazing. The people, the professors, and just the university as a whole was great. One thing I will say, is that joining Greek life is really important. TCU is a really small school and Greek life is the easiest and most fun way to make your life long friends. One thing I think needs to change at TCU is the food. The food on campus isn't great, but the food around TCU's campus is. You will never find nicer people than the people in Fort Worth. The school spirit that you feel from the surrounding neighbors is amazing. Overall, I had an amazing experience at TCU and I would recommend it to anyone who asks.
Texas Christian University is a very cool school to go to, a lot of opportunity is thrown our way. I have no complaints so far I transferred in this semester from a local community college. The one thing I wish would change would be the greek life and how closed off everyone is around campus once they find out you're not part of a Fraternity or sorority.
I am currently enrolled at Texas Christian University as a first-year student in sophomore standing. For starters, my freshman year housing has been so great. I have had a great experience with my roommate and suite mates to make the housing experience even better. I am already involved in a number of organizations, and I hold leadership positions in two of those already as a first-year student, so I would say that the organizations here are top-tier. In general, the sporting events are extremely fun to watch, the atmosphere is amazing, and everything about the school is great.
I was a student-athlete at TCU. My overall experience was wonderful. If you want to be at a school where the people are genuine and caring, TCU is the spot for you. While the diversity may not be aligned with Ivy League schools, it is always what you make of it. What I thought was amazing about TCU is that you can be who you want to be. You can find any and all experience/events/groups that you want to experience in your 4 short years in college.
I really love the academics and professors here. However, it is insanely expensive and the people can be a little stuck up. The greek life is also very dominant here which can be frustrating.
Texas Christian University is a great, well rounded school! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at TCU. I got the big school feeling at a smaller school which is what I was looking for. The professors were kind and understanding and truly got to know you as an individual. Go Frogs!
