Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- RatingDuoMerak, India519 contributionsApparently Edmond Thieffry was one of the co founders of the Belgian airline Sabena (which since 2001 is no longer operational). This gentleman is also the person after whom the metro station takes its name.Written 19 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TrainbleuBrussels, Belgium36,664 contributionsIn the long Rue Belliard in the European Quarter, which is lined with rather unattractive administrative buildings, the house at N. 161 comes as a total surprise. It was commissioned by the renowned Belgian sculptor Julien (or Juliaan) Dillens (1849–1904) to an unidentified architect in 1893. The red-brick house in Flemish Revival style has a typical crow-stepped gable. The first-floor loggia is decorated with a finely carved frieze. We thought the windows looked quite remarkable. They seem to have been made with curved glass. Dillens’ house isn’t worth a long detour, but it may easily be combined with a visit to the European Quarter or Cinquantenaire Park.Written 28 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TrainbleuBrussels, Belgium36,664 contributionsWhile walking around the pond in Leopold Park, we spotted this huge, colourful mural on the side wall of a dull building at Chaussée d’Etterbeek. The aim of Mexican artist and climate activist Carlos Alberto GH in painting it was to raise awareness about deforestation as a consequence of the European import of soy, palm oil, cacao, and coffee. But the felines, the parrot, and the butterfly amidst the luxurious vegetation may also be seen as a reminder of the fact that Leopold Park started out as a botanical and zoological garden back in 1851.Written 12 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
