- SydneyPerlaSydney632 contributionsThe palace is truly amazing. It is in a small town in the middle of nowhere and you would definitely not expect something like that to be there.
You can visit the palace all year round. They offer a guided tour as well as an individual visit. The fee of 6.50 Euro for an adult was quite cheap.
At the moment the east (or west?) wing is closed for renovation.
You can take photos for free. There is a cloak room for your bags/backpacks (you would need a 1 or 2 Euro coin for the locker which you get back when leaving).
The park behind the palace is huge and you can walk there for free (the ticket is just for inside the palace). At the moment the green grass is rather brown as there wasn't much rain this summer. Nevertheless a walk along the shady park ways is truly amazing.Written August 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Well worth a visit.Written August 31, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bizzy6Wernberg, Germany331 contributionsOur hostess at the hotel told us to be sure not to miss this little church, but our expectations were not high. Entering the church there was certainly a “wow“ factor. The painting above the altar is very impressive.Written August 31, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Philip and AshleyLondon, UK35 contributionsVery interesting place to visit. Unfortunately, while all the warning signs are in 3 languages all the information is not. You need to read German to get the most out of your visit. Do not let that put you off from visiting. Your entrance fee goes to support valuable restoration work.
Parking nearby is free and its a great place for a picnic or to go hiking. The town is very quaint and pretty. Well worth seeing.
Nearby is a fragment of the border fence from the DDR and the castle has an exhibition of the day the people of East Germany became free to travel to the West.Written November 18, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
