Sheeba Chadha is definitely among the most versatile actors on celluloid right now. Over the past few years, the actor has proven her mettle and has played characters that only she can pull off effortlessly. Now, Sheeba is gearing up for the release of her upcoming Disney+ Hotstar series, The Trial, in which Kajol plays the leading role. In the series, the Badhaai Do actor plays the role of Kajol's senior.

During an exclusive interaction with OTTplay, when asked about the genre of courtroom dramas, which has a separate fanbase altogether, Sheeba told us, "I don't think I've seen a lot of them. But as a concept, it's very engaging, because there's always this situation that will get resolved, and how you get to it, the lead up to it, and how you break it down, that's always amazing to watch, and there's also something that's like personal lives also running parallel in this room, which is a great combination."

Over the past 25 years, Sheeba has played roles that are quite intense and also highly emotional. On talking about getting away from the characters she played on screen, the talented actor stated, "I think for me, it's not really set in stone like some; I just get to it and don't do any prep. I'm a very lazy actor, so I don't do prep, literally. So it's me just coming on set with some idea in my head; you retain something when you read the script, and then something stays for me. That's how it works. But largely, it will be like, Now we'll just do the shot, and then when you're out of it, then I'm largely out of it."

However, Sheeba revealed that during the shoot of Pagglait (2021), the actor got into a very intense mode. She shared, "But interestingly, there was one film I had done where it was zoned, and I realise that I can't do that in this project. I have to stay with it a bit, largely during the day. It's like, after a shot, we all sit together and faff and whatever. But I felt in that one, if I did, that it would be for me to get back in the next shot with that space. I can't hit that space because it's too internal to hit just like that, and the volume and magnitude of grief are something else that I have to portray. So, I'm saying it's different for different things, but largely, that's our job."
