About[]

Solar Smash is a mobile game made by Paradyme Games that can be installed on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. It is one of several simulation games with the objective of destroying. The main game mode is called Planet Smash, which allows the player to use a multitude of creative sci-fi, space, monstrous, Christmas-based, laser-based, and energy-based weapons to destroy voxel-based planets, as well as kill a simulated population as noted on a counter at the bottom of the screen. Currently, the only other game mode is called System Smash, which allows the player to move celestial bodies (planets and the Sun) either by dragging, using certain weapons (e.g., a Black Hole or a group of Asteroids, two Lasers), or using a slingshot mechanism to destroy each other.

Cost[]

Solar Smash is free on both the iOS (Apple) and Google Play (Android) app stores, but has ads implemented every other time you reset or switch planets in Planet Smash mode or if you reset the solar system in System Smash mode. Players can click or tap the Remove Ads button on the menu to remove them all for just $2.99 USD using their selected payment method, or simply turn off their internet connection instead. Removing the ads also gives you infinite Healing Missiles. There's also a Healing Pack button, which costs $2.99 USD. Buying it will give you the healing variants of the Black Hole, Laser, and Laser Satellite.

Menu Information[]

Achievements & Statistics[]

The main menu has an Achievements section, which aside from achievements such as firing certain numbers of weapons and destroying planets and stars in a particular way, gives numerical statistics about the player's time played ingame, population killed (in millions), how many planets were destroyed (meaning all voxels of each), stars destroyed, how many weapons were fired (not by how many types of weapons but how many times any were fired, most likely applicable for Lasers), ships destroyed (UFO's and other ships, destroyed by capital-launched or player-fired Nukes or even Anti-Matter Missiles and Healing Missiles, crashing them into each other, or other objects), and monsters summoned.

Settings

Settings icon

The Settings section of the main menu, which can be accessed during any game mode, allows the player to change the graphics between 4 settings (shown using empty and filled pill shapes, also able to toggle on or off bloom and adjust the scale and FPS), change the language out of 24 choices (English on the first opening), and adjust the game's audio (either between sound effects or music) and a self-explanatory Targeted Advertisement Button. This is different from the in-game (Planet Smash weapons') settings, which customize the colors and strength/intensity of the weapons.
