Background[]

Prior to the release of the EP, Adam Young revealed the artwork for the EP's lead single, Beautiful Times, through his Instagram account in a series of images.[1] Young later stated that he intended to release a series of EPs rather than a single album, and the EP's release was announced on June 5th.[2][3]
Pre-orders went live on iTunes ten days prior to the EP's release[4], and the last track from the EP, "Wolf Bite", was released a few days prior to the full EP.[5]
Young wrote the entirety of the EP himself, a departure from his previous album, and stated that it was a "deeper venture into EDM" with a more "edgier sound to Owl City than experienced before".[6][7]
