Umesh is currently with the Indian team for the ongoing four-match Test series against Australia. The pacer didn’t get to play in the first two Tests in Nagpur and New Delhi, but was included in the playing XI for the third Test at Holkar Stadium in Indore.

Umesh made an impact right away after he finished with figures of 5-0-12-3, helping India bowl Australia out for 197 in the first innings. But his efforts went in vain as the Aussies went on to win the match by nine wickets to make it 1-2 in the series.

The fourth and final Test is set to get underway on Thursday, March 9 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Even as Australia became the first team to advance to the final of the World Test Championship final, India are one win away from securing their spot.
