Founded in 1912, The Park School of Baltimore is an independent, gender-inclusive, non-sectarian, progressive Pre-K through 12 school located on a 100-acre campus minutes from the city.

Don’t walk…RUN! This school is poorly run with unfairness, favoritism, biased policies and bullying from students and faculty alike. They nickel and dime you to build fancy structures to hid this fur covered sore. If mental health and safety are important to your family, look at another school. If you are not legacy or a high dollar income, the student will suffer in more ways than one!
Park school is in need of some serious help. I can only speak to the lower school, but the experience has been absolutely horrendous. There is a mouse infestation by the cafeteria and the 4th grade classrooms did not have a functioning heating system all year. They have gigantic portable units that are vented out of a window. The facilities are old and not maintained, more times than not there are buckets in the hallways to catch water dripping from the ceiling after it rains. The teachers and administration are not responsive and refuse to work with families that want to collaborate for the best of their children. Families with very bright kids are just as disappointed as families with children who need extra help as none of the children’s needs are met. The Park administration is riding the coat tails of a previously prestigious school that has failed to keep up with the times and it can only last so long. There are better options when seeking an education for your children.
I cannot speak highly enough about my experience at Park. I arrived as an incoming freshman from a public middle school, and wow! The difference was immense and immediate. Older reviews speak of an administation that is uncaring and unreceptive, I had the opposite experience, and I was really proud of some of the changes I was able to see enacted in my community, with the help of admin. The community culture is lovely, while there are defined social circles, I felt welcome around all of my classmates and could easily strike up a conversation with many of them. My senior year especially was a massively infulential and I was so excited by all the electives I could take.
Because of the elective based curriculum, I was able to take two english classes each semester for my final year, which was something I really benifited from. It's a good thing they limit these reviews because I could go on for much longer than anybody really wants me to! I'm now a freshman in college, yay!
