i just finished the movie and was wondering what the rest of the fandom tought about it

‼️ RoTT SPOILERS ‼️

I had whatched Trollhunters a few years back, but only this year i found out that there was more to it, so i spent the last few week watching the entire saga, meaning i rewatched Trollhunters, and watched 3 Below and Wizards. It was wonderful, and i laughed and cried a lot to it. I was completely in love. Then i went to watch the movie. And, oh boy, what the hell happened there? At first, i was enjoying it, even there were some things i thought didn't make sense or had plot holes to it, but it was okay because i super invested. So many characters dying, in a kids show? I was captivated as hell. But then. The ending. I mean, did they SERIOUSLY ERASE THE STORY OF THE ENTIRE SHOW???? JUST LIKE THAT???? AND FOR WHAT???? i could go on and on about how that makes me so angry, but this would become a book, so i wont. I guess i just wanna know what you guys thought of it. am i the only one who thinks that ending was ridiculous? or is this consensual? let me know! i need to know if I'm suffering this alone.

no you're def not the only one, it's Collectively the opinion that Almost every fan have.

oooh okay, at least im not crazy for hating it. but its def very sad that they completely ruined the saga with that ending

Which is Why it's Universally Accepted by Almost everyone that Ending isn't canon and for Some the Movie itself.

My thoughts on the movie's ending (now that I watched the series) is that Jim's new timeline made 2 Trollhunters. However, that's not the case since we don't have Jim with the new amulet and only Tobes with Daylight.

Another I thought I have is that the movie itself is a story narrated by Blinky at the beginning of the movie. Meaning that the movie itself is not the actual ending of the series. DreamWorks just did a bigger plothole than any other franchise did. And I hate it.

We could've had Strickler and Barbara getting married in the end of the movie. Or a 10-15 year timeskip where we see the Trollhunters as young adults.

there's a fanart of Jim having a Nightmare while him being next to Claire.

the nightmare is basically the Movie.

Yeah, I've seen it and is funny to how Claire is like: "Ok. Can we go back to sleep?" And Jim agrees😂.

Is fanarts and this subreddit that keeps Trollhunters alive inside me.

For me it's the people i intract with them and yes Also fanarts and trollhunters Centred Websites that made me Stay on this fandom.
