May 23, 2024 -- After watching a mini concert by Heights High's band and orchestra members, a Fairfax 4th grader was inspired to pick her cello back up again. “That’s exactly the point” of these Kiddie Concerts, said Heights High orchestra director Dan Heim. “The goal is to demonstrate how cool it is to play a musical instrument and encourage our eligible elementary students to keep or start playing.” 

May 21, 2024 -- The Heights High School's chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) inducted 67 students on May 14, 2024. NHS recognizes student achievement and encourages dedication to the four pillars; scholarship, service, character, and leadership.

May 17, 2024 -- The 11th annual AVID Signing Day on May 7 was a joyous occasion where 46 seniors proudly proclaimed where they will attend college in the fall. The ceremony is patterned after the athletic signing that many high schools host. But the AVID event is all about academics.

May 15, 2024 -- At the monthly regular Board of Education meeting on May 9, the Board and Superintendent Kirby recognized the graduating members of the Superintendent’s Cadre, Monticello Middle School’s PBIS initiatives were highlighted, and the Board approved eight teachers to receive tenure.

May 9, 2024 -- The Heights High School Guidance Team shares important information regarding the Summer School Credit Recovery Program that will take place from June 10th-July 12. Please fill out this form to register for the 2024 CHHS Summer School Program.

May 7, 2024 --  A total of three Heights High student-athletes signed their official college letters of intent at the National Signing Day spring ceremony held inside the Heights High mini-auditorium on Monday, May 6.
