TNT Pulls Plug on Jada Pinkett Smith Drama HawthoRNe
After hemorrhaging viewership in its third season, TNT's HawthoRNe has been taken off of life support.
The network announced Friday that it will not renew the medical drama, starring Jada Pinkett Smith as the head nurse at a Richmond, Va., hospital. The third season, which ended on Aug. 16 with a cliff-hanger, drew 2.86 million viewers. Last season, the series averaged 3.6 million — low even then for a TNT drama.
