Donna Savattere: What We Know About Mother of Dan Marino's Child

Dan Marino is quickly losing his squeaky-clean image following the news that he fathered an illegitimate child almost eight years ago. 

Ian Mohr of the New York Post broke the story on Thursday that Marino had an affair with Donna Savattere over eight years ago. She then gave birth to a daughter, Chloe, in June of 2005. 

While a lot of information remains unreleased, Mohr's article painted an interesting picture of the new media sensation.

She Worked at CBS

Marino has worked as a pre-game analyst for CBS since 2003. This is where he likely met Savattere, who was a production assistant for the company at the time.

This brings the incident to an entirely new level, as the international television network now becomes involved with the affair.

Once again, office romances rarely end up working out well. 

She is Currently Married

Savattere met Nahill Younis in the Bahamas in 2009, four years after giving birth to Marino's child. They later got married and are still together.

Although she had a previous marriage, that ended well before she got involved with the former NFL star.

While these situations are rarely simple, these facts make things a little easier to digest. She was apparently single when the affair took place and is now doing well afterwards. 

It certainly could have come to a worse ending.

There Was A Lot of Money Involved

Marino issued a statement about the matter, mentioning that he took financial responsibility for what happened (via New York Post): "This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then. We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved."

Mohr then reports that quite a lot of money changed hands:

Marino agreed to pay Savattere millions to care for Chloe, sources say, and she moved to Texas as part of the deal.

It’s not clear exactly how much Marino paid. But after getting the dough, Savattere apparently started living large.

Being a single mother is never easy, but it is certainly much easier with millions of dollars in support from the father.

For such an ugly situation, everything seems to have concluded peacefully.
