Old train station loaded with many different types of foods, from ice cream to Georgian food (the country, not the state).

Our bus stopped here while in the area. We already had our ticket which was great because when we got there that morning, they were already sold out. Did the quick 20 minute tour and looked around in the area. Great part of American history.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is a must if you're in town. You could spend a whole day there! There are so many exhibits and things to see. I liked that they have restaurants inside, so you can take a break and enjoy a quick bite or a sit down meal.
I did not like the fact that the museum has been announcing Van Gogh's Sunflowers exhibit (the reason why we visited) just to find out it won't be open until May 18th! So if you're hoping to visit before then, be aware. The exhibit is still being finalized.
We really enjoyed the immersive exhibits, such as the Tea House, the Arts of the Islamic world, and the Arms and Armor. I had never seen such exhibits, so we really enjoyed it.

Obviously a must see when in Philly. Free entry, although you can even see the bell from outside through a window. Security staff was not too friendly so that made it a bit uncomfortable.

The National Park Rangers at Independence Hall were wonderful in every way! We went on May 10, 2024, and due to the rain were able to get in to Independence Hall easily. We are so grateful for the kindness of all of the Rangers we met there. They really know a tremendous amount of history, and we had a great time visiting with a fourth grade class (Children are our hope for the future) and we learned a lot, as well!

A quick photo stop for us to see the statue and the steps. Walked up the top of the steps for an amazing city view! Definately worth the stop if in the area.

As far as museums of the American Revolution, the one in Yorktown was by far a much better museum. You could spend all day there going through all the displays. But this one was nice because it had the real tent that Washington used during the war.

The movie and information about how they got the tent was interesting. They won't let you take photos.

This was a great place to get any information you needed about Philadelphia and it had some great maps. The bathrooms were nice and the gift shop was good.

Took my 14 year old daughter. We had fun but I'd say this museum is best for kids up to 13 years old. The hourly tesla coil and machine/engineering interactive exhibit were hightlights.

This was a perfect experience for us. So many details to look at in this beautiful, creative space! For $15 it was very much worth the experience-although entry is timed you can stay as ling as you want. Scavenger hunt list is available for more fun..

A must-do if in Philadelphia! I absolutely loved their exhibit on women's suffrage. Probably my favorite room was the mockup of the Constitutional Convention. Don't miss your opportunity to get a picture with the Father of the Constitution himself!

Loved this museum. Well layed out and very informative. A great trip through American Jewish history. It touch on so many aspects of Jews in America. Even our 10 year old enjoyed it as there were several interactive pieces and videos to keep her engaged. We especially loved the part about Jewish summer camps and the videos of museum attendees answering questions. The docent was out the day we were there, I'm and I'm sure a tour would have been great, but we enjoyed it without one. An absolutely incredible museum store too--gorgeous Judaica that did not look like a synagogue gift shop

There was a truck parked in the street between the houses every times we drove by here. They were working on a house so we took some photos on the other side of the truck. The houses are beautiful.

Lovely building, the highlight though is the tower with the statue of Penn atop. Tours are available at selected times and days so check online and book.
