With as many narrative threads as words in its title, Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector buries a compelling Russell Hornsby in a pile of plot.

Dan Fienberg Hollywood Reporter [The pilot] moves fast and efficiently sets up a workable series that could blend weekly procedural elements with an ongoing - and very familiar - serial killer mystery. It's not instantly gripping. But it's definitely better than its title. Jan 17, 2020 Full Review Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com While way too much of Lincoln Rhyme is leaden and flat, there's still something there in Hornsby's performance that reminds you how good he can be with the right material. Jan 9, 2020 Full Review Caroline Framke Variety Follows the lead of umpteen serial killer stories so closely that it ends up a paint-by-numbers collision of predictable tropes. Jan 8, 2020 Full Review Natalia Trzenko La Nación (Argentina) Lincoln Rhyme sets itself apart from other series of its type in the construction of its villain. [Full Review in Spanish] May 18, 2020 Full Review Melissa Camacho Common Sense Media Popular crime novel adaptation is violent, predictable. Rated: 2/5 Feb 7, 2020 Full Review Dustin Rowles Pajiba There's a lot going on in the pilot - three murders, three investigations! - but I assure you that none of it is particularly interesting. Audience Member Lincoln rhyme is not black!!!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Trailer looked good, as I liked the movie thought I would enjoy this but the acting is very poor and stupid things they do in the story make it too unbelievable to watch. Got through two episodes and think that will be enough. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I didn't find myself comparing this series to the Angelina/Denzel movie. I have loved Deaver's series of books. His writing is so much better than that in these series. The drama in this is cheap. I was disappointed with some of the changes they made in casting — replacing Lincoln's gay male attendant with a black woman. Also requisite weird nerd girl (cf NCIS, etc) added. Amelia is more diffident in the series than in the books. Also, Lincoln is actually not grumpy enough. I really like Selitto tho. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Love this show, great thriller, edge of your seat stuff. This is a keeper Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Really bad writing, especially the penultimate and ultimate episode. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Started watching this with good intentions.nice cast.problem is..the only capable person working for the poĺice became a serial killer.all the others end up either tied up or killed or whatever.script for laughs.
