This error most likely indicates that a system process has died. In order to fix this you will need to reinstall the OS onto your phone. I will give you the steps needed to do this.

1. Use the CD that came with your phone to install the software, or download from the website of your service provider.
2. Delete or rename the vendor.xml file found here: C:Program FilesCommon FilesResearch In MotionAppLoader making sure your options for windows file is set to `"show system files."
3. Open your Blackberry Desktop Manager
4. Connect your phone to your computer using a USB cable.
5 Your Blackberry will now be recognized as a new hardware causing the OS to reload.
6. Me sure you Select "Yes" to backup your blackberry.
7. Wait 30-45 minutes for the entire process to finish.

Hello, You should try to Upgrade to the latest version of BlackBerry® Desktop Software. The remove any recently installed applications on your phone, this you can do with the DM - Desktop Manager - just plug the phone into the USB cable and connect it to the PC. If it dies not recognize your phone device, ignore the message and go into application loader and remove the latest installed apps/modules. Then disconnect and reboot phone. Also remember to install the latest version of BlackBerry® Device Software on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Assuming you have a password on your device-- launch application loader (the device will be connected even though the DM indicates it is disconnected)and when prompted for your device password enter an incorrect value (4 character minimum) 10 times. This will trigger the automatic wiping and scubbing of device. Upon completion, you which will enable you to reinstall the device software through the DM (which will now correctly display status as connected). Be patient the total wiping and scrubhappy:bing process may take about 2hrs.

Same here,you probably need a new battery cause the same thing happens and i had to reeboot my phone 20-30 times then it went to home page then just 10 mins it turned of by itself so just try get a new battery it cost around 6-7 pounds.

You need to give a hard reset to your blackberry phone.. and if still the problem persists as it shows the error do not remove the battery or switch off, but connect it to pc and format all data then update the software.

Just simply try removing and putting back in the battery. For blackberrys and newer phones, every week you should repeat this phase to have a continuous quality phone.

It happened with my small sis once, u press on both buttons the one which moves the cursor and the one u reset ur blackberry with.

Hold the power button until the screen flickers and turns on. it worked for me! hope it works.
