The Tokyo Station Hotel receives widespread acclaim for its exceptional service, with staff often going the extra mile to enhance guest experiences. Nestled in the heart of Tokyo Station, its prime location is a hit among travelers for easy exploration of the city. The hotel's sophisticated atmosphere and luxurious amenities complement the elegant and immaculate rooms, albeit some guests find room sizes and technology lacking. While the hotel's cleanliness and array of dining options are consistently praised, opinions on value vary, with some considering it a bit steep in price.

My wife and I planned an overnight stay to celebrate her birthday and give ourselves a change of pace during these covid times.

We had stayed at the hotel before and fell in love the the European elegance and calmness. So many hotels have a nervous energy about them. This location is an island of calm in the center of one of the busiest stations in Japan.

Upon arrival several staff members greeted us, took us through the safety precautions, and ensured we were checked in. A bellman - both charming and very professional, took us to our room and not only squared us away with the various controls and such but also took us to a great location to take our picture. We later encountered him on our way out for a walk and he immediately proposed a scenic location outside the hotel for another photo. This kind of attention to detail and quick action are very representative of the staff and service ethic of the entire hotel.

The hotel is short distance from the Imperial Palace Grounds which of course are perfect for a leisurely stroll or a brisk jog. Just remember to go counter clockwise as there is a local etiquette pretty much everyone follows!

The room was extremely comfortable - a two floor style with the bedroom upstairs and a living area and bath downstairs. Normally we don't sleep well at hotels however here we slept quite soundly. The mattress and pillows and just the relaxed feeling I guess all contributed to that.

Despite being next to a busy train station we could barely hear any sounds - what we did were faint and not at all disutrbing.

We had made arrangements to eat out and could not enjoy the restaurants at the hotel. We did visit the 4th floor atrium for the breakfast buffet. A lovely arrangement of bite sized treats as well as prepared dishes makes for a delicious breakfast. The precautions against covid are thorough which, again, we appreciated.

After our breakfast we decided to explore the hotel. Whenever we encountered a staff member they would kindly take time from their busy day to explain interesting facts about the hotel structure and history. The hotel itself dates back quite a bit and has some fascinating stories and architectural history that are worth knowing. It was great fun walking around and finding the hidden exits that take you right into the station building itself.

An efficient checkout concluded our stay. The staff, including some top level management folks, bid us a warm farewell.

I have been to Tokyo 4 times in the last 5 years. The combination of rich cultural diversity, kind/helpful people, safety, efficient transportation system and quality of food
is second to none.
If you want to take advantage of what Tokyo has to offer Tokyo Station Hotel is the place to stay.Access to hundreds of restaurant, stores, and transportation is literally right under your feet. The Imperial Palace, fashionable Ginza and Nihonbashi are within walking distance.Rooms are spacious, immaculate with very comfortable bed and pillows and a large bathroom with a rain shower to die for. Both Japanese and western breakfast are sumptuous. However, service is what defines Tokyo Station Hotel.Japanese hospitality at its best! The best Concierge Service in Tokyo helmed by Ms.Marie Antionette Mori and assisted by Ms.Miyuki Saito will open the door not only to the most difficult Michellin starred restaurant but also guide you to the the best pizza, ramen,tea,pokemon/yukata store and cutlery nearby. There is nothing better!
We will certainly be back after the Olympics.

My first visit to Tokyo, so lucky to have been recommended to this hotel. Reading the history of the hotel and it's transformation into what it is today is really interesting. The hotel is in a small group of hotels which i would not hesitate to stay at again. The attention to detail, the service by the staff, quality of the food, decor and cleanliness are exceptional a truly wonderful stay, well done to all involved. The location is great, its part of the station, whether you are travelling locally or further afield by the "Bullet" its all minutes away. Also a short walk from the Imperial Palace, close to numerous restaurants and shops a perfect location to see Tokyo from.

Their prominent breakfast buffet had to be stopped and replaced with fixed set menu, but the hotel was trying their best to cope with the current situation. Staffs were quite nice, ideal location, the walk to the front desk from the room is a little pain as the hotel is stretched horizontal to the train station.
As a tourist, I asked few questions at the concierge getting around Tokyo and was astonished when asked “don’t you have a cell phone,” as if I should do my own research. Typical of the service targeted for non-Japanese tourist but they could do better.

Yet another return visit to this luxury hotel. A trip to Tokyo would not be complete without a stay here. I had a very comfortable suite with a view overlooking the main square and straight down the avenue towards the Imperial Gardens; it could not have been better. The hotel and rooms are kept spotlessly clean, with a fresh fragrance, and the air-conditioning is a welcome relief from the heat and humidity outside in the month of September.

Apart from its central location (inside the Tokyo Station complex, and a short distance to Ginza and Nihonbashi for high class shopping), the main thing that commends this hotel is the first class service from all of the staff. Everything works smoothly and all requests are dealt with cheerfully. As an example, I accidentally trod in some chewing gum when I was out walking; a rare event in a city as clean as Tokyo - must have been dropped by a foreigner! When I returned to the hotel I rang housekeeping and asked if they could remove it from my shoe, a thing that can be a difficult, messy job. Within two minutes they collected the shoe and less than ten minutes later returned it to me in perfect condition, without charge and with a smile. Yet again, at checkout it was no trouble for them to arrange for someone to escort me to the platform for the Narita Express to the airport (even though I should know my way blindfold by now); a very nice send off.

There are several restaurants to choose from in the hotel and the room service menu has plenty of choices. If time is not pressing a Japanese breakfast is something to linger over and enjoy.

We tried something different this time and stayed in the Tokyo Station Hotel on the way out of Tokyo on our ski trip. The hotel room was very comfortable (everything you need they thought of), but what really stands out is the service provided by the concierge desk. I was in email communication with them before the trip, and they flawlessly booked our dinner reservation outside and arranged a car for a very early hour departure to Haneda airport. Too bad we were just transiting and we didn't have time to try all the amenities in the hotel (they have a pool and fitness centre). This place is very upscale, to the point I felt awkward walking through the lobby in my ski jacket, we even saw some local ladies with feather hats having afternoon tea at the lobby cafe!

I have stayed in 5-star hotels throughout the world. The service and quality of this property far exceeds any Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton anywhere. From the moment I emailed the concierge (Miyoko) to the moment I departed, the entire staff was eager to provide assistance. Upon arrival, their uniformed agent picked me up right outside the door of my car in the Narita Express, took my luggage and walked me to the hotel. (For those of you that have never been to Toyko Station it is gigantic and easy to get lost there.) The property itself is actually part of the station and is simply gorgeous - marble floors, crystal chandeliers and Toto toilets. (Don't laugh. Once you've used one you will never go back.) Remember when hotels used to change sheets and towels every day?
They still do that here. There are more bathroom amenities than I have ever seen - including 5 different types of face creams. The TV tells you when the lobby breakfast room is full or partially full so you can schedule accordingly. The concierge arranged Shinkansen tickets to Okasa and Kyoto as well as an English speaking tour guide. There are a plethora of food options steps away from the hotel. (Do not miss the food courts located in the basement of every department store. Think Harrods.) Each time I was escorted to the train and met upon my arrival back. I have stayed in all the other "name" properties in Tokyo and am not surprised that this is the hotel that is the first one to be booked up. It is so good, in fact, that I schedule my trips around their availability whenever possible. Do yourself a favor. Don't stay anywhere else.

The front reception/check-in staff were so friendly and helpful! They checked us in quickly, walked us to our room and explained things along the way, helped us reserve seats in the Shinkansen for the duration of our trip, and suggested some places around to eat. The room was awesome, although our view was of the street, but we weren't there for the view. The bathroom was typical Japanese: shower area outside the soaking tub, with western-style toilet in a separate "room" with heated seat and bidet. The restaurant food was really good as well (we ate at The Lobby Lounge). They even held our luggage for a full day and a half AFTER we checked out so we didn't have to lug it around the Mt. Fuji area. Because it's attached to the Tokyo train station, it's in the heart of a lot, so travel was a piece of cake. Highly recommend!

Tokyo Station hotel is my go to hotel in Tokyo.
Truth be told, Tokyo Station Hotel is the epitome of a luxurious super efficient and professional Concierge Team.. No words would be enough to express my sincerest thanks to Ms Mori and Ms Saito for an excellent polished gift of anticipation.
Room tho small, but it is very clean and very functional in a compactible sense.
Breakfasts still extensive, delicious especially the Japanese counter, and correctly hygienic especially in this challenged Covid Pandemic

Beautiful hotel! We contacted them ahead of time to arrange meeting us at the train station to help us with our luggage and we were greeted by 2 staff members right at our train car. The room was a bit small but lovely. Gorgeous rainwater shower. Great location to the train and an easy walk to the Imperial Gardens. I did find it strange that they would allow you to use the computer in the business center for 10 minutes with a charge of 100 Yen. All of the hotels I’ve stayed at had a business room with computers with no time limit or charge. It’s just bizarre that a hotel of this caliber would do this. I still loved the hotel and would highly recommend it!

Can we open the windows?
Tokyo, Japan
Dear Crystal Khlyr, Thank you for your inquiry. I am afraid to say that all the windows cannot be opened due to the safety reasons. It is strictly instructed by Tokyo Station Management, not from the hotel. We ask for your kind understanding. Please feel free to contact us anytime should there be anything we could further assist. You may find our hotel email address on the hotel official website. Sincerely yours, The Tokyo Station Hotel

Service at this Hotel is so superior, I would expect their taking delivery of tickets to be possible. Definitely email the Concierge first, to alert them and receive instructions.

I would suggest calling the hotel directly with any requests. I sent them an email through their website and didn’t receive a response. But don’t worry, other than this little glitch, the service at the hotel is impeccable! You’ll have a wonderful stay!

Hello, You can email the concierge to request a room closer to the elevators. I'm sure they will be happy to help. I can't include the email in this note, but you will find it on TSH's website (I did). That said, I'd caution to be careful what you wish for. Our room was very soundproof at the TSH, so it might be fine - but in most hotels you don't want a room by the elevator, because the tend to be more noisy, with all the people going in and out.
