About
The UK’s No.1 Tropical Aqua Park is based in the Heart of the Midlands. Waterworld is an epic adventure for the whole family to enjoy. A great day out in Staffordshire. Prepare yourself for our breath taking white knuckle rides. Experience 375 feet of ups and downs in a single raft. Race family and friends with exciting twists and turns. Descent into our plunge pools or just relax in our Bubble Pools. Jump and ride the waves in our beach effect wave pool or dare you brave the dark cave of our rapids ride with family and friends. In late 2019, we wanted our loyal guests to be the first to know our gigantic new wave system had been installed. This complements our four brand new super thrill rides in Tornado Alley, featuring Thunderbolt, Cyclone, Hurricane and Stormchaser. The tallest, fastest water slides in the UK… Ride them if you dare! We have a large restaurant, which offers a full range of freshly prepared meals, including halal, gluten-free, and nut free choices.

    Good
Good day out ! Fab pool clean changing rooms and good cafe area. I did just find one thing very odd. Went to the children's slide thinkinking I could go down with my 1 year old on my lap but was told to send the baby down on her own which evidently is very risky as it was a spiral closed off side so a bit weird safty feature which poses a greater risk. Other than that fab pool

    Too busy
This place seems great at first but unfortunately you get 3 hours and the place is so busy where they let too many people in you literally spend 1hr 30mins queueing to go on slides. It really is a hazard how many people are in at once. I don't think I'd go back personally. I'm gonna check out alton towers water park next time.

Great facilities and staff, shame about the scumbag
Drove 2.5 hours here today to take our son for his birthday. We were having a lovely day, having being on a couple of slides and then went into the rapids. I could see some undesirable stood on the side ffing and gesticulating with his very upset son. Thought nothing of it and continued to enjoy our rapids session. Upon exiting, imagine my surprise having only being in the park for an hour, of which our family had remained together as a family for the entire time and not separated for a second, that this reprobate decides that my eldest (who happens to be dark haired and curly like every other kid in 2023, and is actually the sweetest most non confrontational child ever) had been picking on his child. I tried to calmly tell him he was mistaken as he had not been out of my sight for a moment, and the incident had taken place in the rapids earlier and we had only been in once. He ignored us, squared up to my son from the side, screaming like a banshee leaving him really confused and very upset. Shame there was no exit on to the side where he was stood - my husband was keen to talk to him but seems he only likes confrontation with children, and he’d legged it by the time we got out. The staff we complained to were great, and had this guttersnipe not already left voluntarily, they were trying to eject him from the site. I do hope the mulleted man sees this and perhaps next time, might consider his actions more carefully. In conclusion….Waterworld fab. This guy….w@nker. Thanks x

    Shambles
Visited waterworld with granddaughter today, I thought the price for a 4 year old was quite expensive as she couldn't go on the slides as she wasn't tall enough but the smaller part for the little ones one of the slides was closed which meant there was one slide which she could go on. Next was when she became hungry at lunch time, website states you can't take your own food and drink in you have to buy it from there which is fair enough, however when we tried to order lunch we were told we couldn't have any if we hadn't pre booked food which doesn't say anything on the website about this. It was ridiculous and lots of people were complaining to staff members. They said the kitchen wasn't functioning correctly and couldn't provide food so how can they provide pre booked it was a complete joke and I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody

    Clean site but cold.
The whole park was an amazing day out. We went on a Tuesday at 13:30 and the queues got shorter as the day went by. Very clean facilities and spacious changing rooms. Only issue is that me and my family found everything a bit cold. Swimming pools and the buildings are usually (in my experience) kept rather warm. The outside pool also wasn’t heated, although I expected if to be.

Expensive but the kids had a ball
Bit of a rip-off that after spending £111 on admission for a family of 5, we also had to pay £3.50 to park and £2.50 to rent a locker! These should have been included in the price. It was really busy (school summer holidays) but we didn’t have to queue for ages for any of the flumes, and the kids really enjoyed themselves. We didn’t get kicked out after 2hrs, as you do at many other similar attractions. But the poor girl on the ice cream stall was left on her own, trying to serve a long queue and organise refunds for the locker keys at the same time; they need to sort out the staffing issues to keep the queues to a minimum. She kept apologising for our 15-20 minute wait (bless her) when it clearly wasn’t her fault. The kids’ ice creams were melted by the time we actually paid for them 🤣 I would recommend this place but ideally go in term time if you can, I would imagine it’s much less stressful then!

    Rip off merchants
This place is a rip off. Opened doors 10 minutes after advertised time. Bag search pre-entry and they won't let you bring your own food. Of course, the food Waterwold sell is ghastly overpriced. You expect to pay a premium for food/drink in a place like this - but the prices charged here are excessive. This is outrageous to be completely honest given how much you pay to get in. Interior is delapidated and could do with modernising. £5 for a locker is too much when everywhere else is less than £2. £5 for car parking which is too much given the car park is poorly maintained - shrubs overgrown into parking bays, and there are lots of potholes so hopefully your suspension is good! The ban in bringing picnics and the overpriced parking soured the whole experience to be honest. In these tough times you should be helping families have a memorable day out, not bankrupting them!

    Traumatic
After a good day out with the kids I was in the main pool. 3 lifeguards concentrating on the wrong things a child grabs on to me gasping for breath shouting for help. Not one lifeguard noticed he's choking out water. I took him to the side of pool to make sure he was OK. As a former lifeguard at sandcastle water park and for the tameside sports trust active. This was not acceptable. Having dealt with the traumatic experience of having to rescue and resuscitate a 2 year old child in the past. It's an image I didn't need and the reason I no longer do this job. I left the pool a mess shaking from head to toe. My youngest son witnessed the whole thing and found it quite traumatic himself. At least one of the 3 lifeguard on the main pool should be watching the actual pool area not 3 people concentrating on people holding on to side of the pool or ropes when the wave machine is on. Who knows what could have happened had I not been there to grab onto.

    Food Service?
We took a group of 48 cub scouts, leaders and parent helpers. Entry went relatively smoothly on what was an incredibly hot day. Once through into the pool area we all went off and had some amazing fun. Then came dinner time and the fun (really, really not fun) started…. Well, we had pre ordered when booking and we thought we would keep it simple and give all the kids pizza, all but the three special dietary requirements cubs. We rocked up at 1300 as arranged with a group of cubs as hungry as a pack of ravaging hyenas. The catering staff had no idea or knowledge of our booking. We had 30 kids at the front of the queue, as there wasn’t a mechanism in place to have them seated and the food brought over, to be told they had no knowledge of our order and they couldn’t serve all the kids pizza as there wasn’t enough pizza ovens to even do that. Absolute pandemonium ensued as we had to get 30 (very patient, starving hungry but well behaved) cubs scouts to choose what they wanted, whilst been at the front of the queue, with an ever growing amount of the general public now in the queue behind our 30 cubs and 15 plus adults. After the manager or security or whoever the guy who dealt with us was mascaraing as, said there was nothing they could do, and around 30 minutes past, without any of the catering staff been pulled over the counter by the marauding public and beaten violently, our cubs got their food and we managed to find enough room to sit most of them on chairs, whilst the rest slummed it in the floor. After the kids had all been fed, the adults then took the opportunity to eat, with our stomachs firmly of the opinion our throats had been cut. (Although it one point waiting to get my food whilst desperately attempting to stop my weakening body flaying onto the floor, this may have been the favourable option.) The leader enjoyed their food, as the cubs had, and most of returned back to the water for more fun, having been fully recharged after a lovely stress free lunch.

    Great Family Day out
Came with family& friends Good day out as school holidays & can be busy, some queues for slides /food but to be expected as even queues at alton towers and other places ! Staff work hard polite & helpful. Nice food and service from staff and explained there may be a delay due to how busy but thats to be expected when its busy and lunchtime . Overall Clean and changing rooms clean, saw staff cleaning which is good when busy , Great day out but maybe recommend a little reduction in price if only watching and not getting in the water . Will be back again !!

BEWARE PARKING!! Arrived here 18th May, the CCTV recorded my car entering the car park at 9.20.23 and leaving at 12.07.41 (167 minutes) Firstly when I pay for parking i am under the assumption that my paid for parking time is from the moment i actually physically purchase a ticket and not when you drive past a camera, you are not parked and using a space until you have found and parked in a space, if you think this is being petty, i can assure you its for a reason!! first 30Minutes is free, i then paid for 2 Hours 15 Minutes at a cost of £3 my total paid for time including 30minutes free parking is (165 minutes) so i have received a parking fine of £60 based on the moment i had driven past the camera on entry and the moment i have driven past the camera on exit, that is a staggering 2 MINUTES OVER my time!! considering we parked in a disabled blue badge spot and without disclosing the reasons for why i was 2 minutes past my time, one might expect a bit of common sense, however i will reluctantly pay this ticket but will not be returning to Waterworld.
When i queue up outside Waterworld and they open the doors 5minutes past opening hours, do i charge them for lost time? no because im not petty, but i will not be using them again.

Absolutely dreadful from start to finish and have never been back since ! Crazy golf next door is SHOCKING and the cost for a 10 minute course is unbelievable, don’t know how they expect large families to be able to treat the kids to activities at those prices

This was the 2nd time i went to this place on the bank holiday. I really do like it, the variety of rides, it’s not strict on making people leave, food availability very convenient.
Very family friendly we all had a fantastic time both of our visits. Staff are all very helpful in the locker area, pool & cafe.
On leaving I went to return my wristband which I had money & the locker fee. I stood waiting patiently as the cashier was speaking to her colleague hoping she will serve me when she’s finished speaking to her colleague.
I stood there then a white lady comes with her children the girl on the counter serves her before myself when she had finished serving her she started serving me. As she served me I said to her can I just say something I was waiting before your last customer you served her but you didn’t acknowledged me she said I didn’t see you and I said well I’m not invisible I’m standing by your counter to be served waiting patiently. To which her colleague replied to be fair she was dealing with something with me to which I said yes I know & I waited patiently for my turn but I was ignored.
Now was it because I’m an Asian person & the lady who she served me was a white lady.
That really did spoil my day as I left feeling bitter because of this young girl. We had traveled 1 hour journey to enjoy ourselves & were made to feel very uncomfortable by this last few minutes of our visit.
I don’t experience these types of encounters with people but I know it does happen I can’t see any other reason why this happened.

I went with my family as one of my birthday presents to this glorious water oasis. The staff were quick to let us through to the changing rooms as soon as we had checked in at the front desk. We made our way as soon as possible to the slides. We rode them all at least 5 times each before sitting down for some lunch in the poolside café which was delicious. We rode the slides again even more times and eventually we looked at the clock and saw that it was already about half an hour past the end of our slot (which was 3 hours long). We ended up staying for almost 6 hours. We had an absolutely amazing time at this fun-filled waterpark. I had no idea that such an amazing place existed in the UK. I would totally recommend Stoke WaterWorld to everyone!

If you like to queue up to get a rubber ring, for every slide because you can’t use the same rubber ring, you have to pass it to the persons waiting and then you have to wait go to the end of the line and wait for another ring because they rather make you wait for 20 minutes than to buy a few more rigs,if you think you’ll like that,be my guest.Staff doesn’t care about your kids,my child was hit by another child because their staff said to the 2nd child that he can go but my son was not down the tube yet, there’s a few other things that I didn’t like so it was just a waste of time and money, there’s loads of other places where you can be treated better and have more fun for that money

There are some things you can’t unsee and so it goes with the flabby, tattooed and semi-naked clientele. My God, it is a sight.

Imagine someone like that and multiple it by 1000. That is the true horror of this place. Far too busy. Queues everywhere.

Mix in gormless staff, overpriced virtually everything and a general sense the place needs a good clean.

Not the most enjoyable experience of my life.

Had heard decent reviews so with an Easter holiday discount voucher got a family midweek slot. Booked for 10am, but had a long 20min wait outside in the rain with a bottleneck for check-in and bag check.

Fortunately that was the lowest point as everything else was pretty great. Clean changing area, smart lockers then the pool area and slides were great fun.

Queues definitely kicked in from 11am onwards so it became 15-20mins for the good rides, mostly because of the queue go to the rubber rings.

But great variety of slides, solo, joint, high, medium, fast and different. Wave machine also decent
