I love living on campus at UIUC. There is something very appealing about living in a small city that is very walkable. I love being able to get around campus on foot but having access to the bus system if I want it. The food is better than expected on university campuses and the housing is clean and appealing.
My experience has been okay, and to be honest, there is a lot for you to do. Whether you are introverted or extroverted, there are plenty of clubs and other things to join/do to be more social. The food is actually decent and not bad at all. It is a very active campus, so you can be fit, whether you are going to the ARC to exercise or just jogging around your area. One of the downsides I would give the campus is the cost. It is a very expensive school, so make sure this is something you want to do. Another downside is the dorms. Depending on where you live, it can be bad as some of the dorms are very old with no air conditioning, and the showers can be run down.
I love the welcoming community of the University as well as the opportunities they have for students. I have been able to get involved with various organizations on campus that have allowed me to gain professional experiences and achieve my goals.
it was amazing i was a masters student in management with a selective cohort. the professors and students were friendly and welcoming....
My experience at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign was incredible. I enjoyed studying there academically but also being apart of communities that I found that were best for my interests. I am apart of Greek life at UIUC and my sorority has taught me many lessons throughout my first year of college including academically. UIUC has so many opportunities that can be easily accessed as a student. Overall the university has incredible academics, amazing RSOs and communities to be a part of, and the campus is extremely safe and clean for students and faculty.
The University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign was a great experience. It provided me with all I needed and prepared me for the real-world as best as it could. I absolutely loved the student life and loved how it was a campus-town. I would not take back this experience for anything in the world. The institution also provided great help in preparing me for law school by guiding me throughout the entire law school application process with UIUC's pre-law advising program.
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is definitely the college experience. It has offered me many amazing opportunities and I cannot wait to continue my education here for my Master's degree.
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign was a great place to learn and grow not only as a student but as a person.
Overall, the school is great. College is what you make it and you learn a lot of lessons. Some of the policies can be really strict that’s a downside.
it was a very diverse experience .My experience at the University of Illinois was truly incredible. The amount of opportunity and intelligence that you will be surrounded with is impeccable to say the least. The campus and population is as large as you can imagine. This allows you to branch out if you are outgoing and seek these opportunities. They have one of the largest quantities of student organizations on any college campus
My experience at the university has been pretty good so far. This university is really good at being good at everything where you can be focused academically then during your free time have fun on campus.
Now that my freshman year is over, I can say that I had an overall great experience at UIUC. From the friends I've made to the classes I've taken, I've grown and developed so much over the course of the school year and I have to thank all of my campus experiences for it.
It is the complete package - academics, support, campus life, creating new relationships, extracurricular opportunities.
Very vibrant social and party scene, the school is big with many opportunities to join orgs and meet new people.
I love being at University of Illinois, because they have many opportunities that are open to all students. This school is very diverse and big on inclusivity, which makes the environment very welcoming and safe for everybody. I like that the opportunities require everyone to be able to connect in different ways and learn about each others cultures and identity.
I am not a current student yet, but will be attending this fall. I have visited the campus and I can say it is very lively and amazing choice for a small town.
My overall experience attending UIUC has exceeded my expectations. I am almost done with my second semester here, and I am already excited to return in the fall for my sophomore year. I am involved in Greek life, business clubs, and a club dance team, allowing for me to interact with a lot of different groups of people. I enjoy the campus life and also love the campus itself. I came to this school unsure if I would have that much fun or meet good friends that I could see myself having for the rest of my life, but I was proven wrong. I love everyone that I've met, and I can't wait to continue attending this school for three more years.
I am going to be attending U of I in the fall and currently, it has been my obsession. My days consist of watching videos of current students at U of I and endlessly looking at photos of the beautiful campus. I have been to campus a few times and the food there is unmatched. There is a diverse range of restaurants to chose from which is really important for me. The dorms are newly renovated and there are currently renovations happening on campus. This shows the strive for improvement of what is already a wonderful campus. The few teachers and advisors I have met with have all been brilliant. They show optimism, intelligence, and support in so many ways. I am so excited to attend U of I in the fall and I know I will have the most beautiful time!
UIUC is what you make it out to be. There are enough people and many groups on campus to find one that fits you and find mutual people with similar hobbies.
I have met many of my close friends through many RSOs through this school. It is easy to find new friends and with a diverse options of clubs offered at here, I was able to connect with a a wide variety of people. The campus is relatively accessible with convenient access to transportation.
