How to power on pc without power button (on case)

Installation Question

Hey, this is my second time building a pc. But when i try to power on the pc with the button on the case the pc doesn’t power on (not even a fan spinning). Is there a way to power the pc on without the case?

Grab a screwdriver and find the power pin put the screwdriver in the middle of the power pin and it will turn on

I don’t really know much about mainboards. I bought this mainboard off ebay. There was no manual with the mainboard and searching online didn’t help. Do you know where it is on this one? The name on the board is „Asrock B450M-HDV“

Download the manual here. Find the front panel on the board. You can use a screwdriver as mentioned to connect the power pins, also make sure you front panel cables are connected to that header correctly

Ok did it and it worked. But now the fans start to spin for 4 seconds then they are slowing down. Now there is no output and the fans are changing the speed constantly (no output from gpu or mainboard)

Ok, are there any debug lights on (if the board has them?) also can you tell me what gpu and cpu you have? Bios version?

did you put the les hd and all the pins in the power pin?

Jump the pins look it up on YouTube Linus does it all the time

A power switch simply connects two little pieces of metal so charge can pass through. You can manually connect those little metal pieces with a screw driver, for example.

You have to plug the power button into the right spot on the motherboard, it doesnt magically connect or anything.

I did. But turns out the power button on the case is broken
