I decided to go by to school in my late forties. After several losses and tragic events over the last 2 years, I felt it was time for a change. I have had the privilege of working with a wonderful advisor who has been super supportive and encouraging. I has been as though I had my own personal cheerleader in my corner cheering me on with every step I have taken. I currently am working my way through prerequisites and will be meeting with the admissions advisor for the nursing programs this Friday. We plan to complete my application for the program and line out what I will need to succeed.
I've made so much progress toward my associate degree in education at Texarkana College (we call it TC for short). All of my professors have been so amazing and helpful. You can really see how much they want their students to succeed! I absolutely love TC and would highly recommend to anyone in the Bowie County area. Just like the college's slogan, Texarkana College is a great place to start or start over.
It is very calm and peaceful, the professors are extremely friendly and open to answer any questions you may have, and help you in any way they can.
