When I first got this album, not going to lie I was excited. I believed that after 1986's This Side of Paradise, that Ric's solo work was just going to get better. But boy, was I wrong.
Fireball Zone is not a good album. In fact, this may be me being harsh, but I think it's one of the worst albums I've ever heard. Aside from two or three decent tracks (notable standouts include "Rockaway" and "Come Back") the rest is either bland and forgettable, or sometimes outright dreadful. (As is the case with "All You Need Is Love" - Easily the worst song Ric has ever recorded) I've heard this album twice, and yet I can hardly remember a single track that I thoroughly enjoyed.
