Club Wyndham Desert Blue is lauded for its prime location near attractions, complete with a handy shuttle service to the Strip. The hotel's modern decor and convivial atmosphere are a hit, especially during holiday festivities, though the occasional loud music may be a concern. The rooms earn praise for their space and modern touches, yet some guests express issues with cleanliness and security. While the cleanliness of the hotel and amenities is generally applauded, housekeeping is only available upon request. Guests commend the reliable shuttle service and the staff's helpfulness, but opinions on the value are divided, with some balking at extra costs and resort fees despite the well-equipped kitchens and inviting pool areas.

If you don't want to deal with the hassles of checking in and out of most of the Vegas Hotels/Casinos, and trying to find parking, this is the place to stay. The property and its grounds were immaculate. The staff was very professional, the pools were pristine, and there was ample parking. My wife and I stayed 5 nights, checking in on 11/8/20, in a 1-bedroom presidential suite, and it was very clean and loaded with luxury. Bonuses like modern decor, high ceilings, hot tub in the room, 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer, updated appliances in the kitchen, along with plenty of dishware (ie. pots, pans, eating utensils, glasses, cups, etc.), made us feel pampered. We had awesome views of the Strip and the mountains! Every time we returned to the property from eating, shopping, or gambling, the crew at the front desk welcomed us back. We opted out of paying for housekeeping, but anytime we needed anything (like toilet paper, coffee, towels), they were there in a timely manner. We will definitely be back!!!

My husband & I are Wyndham owners. We had planned on going to NOLA but changed to a staycation in Vegas due to COVID. Very glad we asked for a Mountainview instead of Rio view room as the Rio is closed and at night it’s just dark. Our view was the Stratosphere, Wynn&Encore and the new Resorts World under construction.
Our 1 bedroom had a very comfortable king sized bed with excellent linens. A huge bathroom with seperate jetted tub, a big glass shower, the tub is actually in the bedroom area. There is a pocket door to close off the bathroom from bedroom if you were sharing the 1 bedroom with kids and it is plenty big for a family of four! The toilet & sink have a door by the kitchen so you needn’t walk thru the bedroom to access which is really nice.
Both the bedroom & living area have ceiling fans. I read other reviews that said the furnishings were showing wear. We did not find this to be true.
The pools are great!!! The kids splash pad & the hot tubs were closed due to COVID & you needed to reserve your morning & afternoon times, very easy. They do close the pool area from 2:30-3:30 to clean/sanitize.
We highly recommend staying here!

We had a great time staying at Desert Blue Wyndham. Friendly staff and convenient location. Even though my kids were bummed that kids activities center was closed due to Covid, there were still plenty to do at the resort, such as pool, arcade, activity room, and the gym. There were sanitizers everywhere and all the facilities were cleaned sanitized between use. Super easy check in and out. Convenient location to the Strip, grocery stores, and restaurants! We stayed in a one bedroom suite in Margaritaville and the room design was very beachy-feel and relaxing! There was even a Margarita Mixer with secret recipe in the room. All kitchenware were enough to satisfy my needs. My kids didn't want to leave and already asked to come back next time. Will definitely visit again!

We traveled to Vegas for my daughter’s soccer tournament. We were looking for a hotel close to the strip but not in the middle of the craziness. We booked this hotel last minute and we were impressed. The hotel was nice, modern and clean. The staff was friendly and super efficient. Free parking and valet parking; super convenient with the app that allows you to order your car in advance. The rooms are spacious and clean. The carpets in the hallways and rooms can use a deep cleaning though; overall a very clean hotel. Housekeeping is not available unless you pay but, if you are planning on staying only a couple of days it is not a big deal. You will be approached to attend a presentation; similar to timeshare they do try to sell you the Club Wyndham points program. We attended the presentation and would’ve bought it if our immediate plans were different. They offer a complimentary shuttle to the strip so that is a plus. The strip is literally 5 minutes away and you are close to the freeway as well. The hotel requires a 2 night minimum and extending your stay for one extra night is a hassle. We had issues but Michelle at the front desk saved the day; she was kind, caring and went above and beyond to make sure her manager approved an extension. If you are looking to gamble, definitely not the place as the hotel doesn’t have a casino but it is perfect for families. We will definitely be back!

Could have been a nice vacation but due to VERY limited hours and amenities for the number of guests at the resort it was very disappointing. Had we had advance notice of all the limitations still in place, due to lack of staff to provide those services, we would have had the opportunity to choose another resort. The heat is so bad there during the day that we were forced to spend way too much time in our room since no other resort owner activities were provided and the small game room was so over crowded it was literally impossible to use. On the positive side, the pool area was always kept clean and the staff, (especially the manager, Jack) was friendly during the limited hours of availability.

We were told there would not be any housekeeping, but if we needed anything to come to the front desk. We didn't have any problem with this system, but it sure isn't handy to have to ask for coffee packets every morning. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but I guess there is food at the pool bar. It was rainy and cold the time we were there, we didn't go to the pool bar. When you check in, they send you over to another desk to get your parking pass and information on the resort, but it really is a chance to bribe you make an appointment for their time-share information. We only had to say no 4 times. But even with that we were given a card with a phone number in case we changed our mind. Suite was nice, full kitchen, one bathroom, but 2 separate sinks, nice soaking tub and large shower. For some reason the first day it took a LONG TIME to get the water to be hot in both the sink and the shower. Was better for the rest of the stay.

For the last two years (while here for a conference) we have stayed in resorts on the Strip. This year we had our 18 year old travelling with us so wanted to have seperate rooms and a kitchen (so we didn't have to eat out for all meals). I booked the Wyndham Desert Blue via airbnb. Sadly our room wasn't available when we arrived (fair enough since it was just 10am but we were super tired after our trip from Australia). However we were given a room upgrade so that was nice. It was 3 bedroom (something) and really something special. The view, if you didn't look straight done, was stunning, esp at night. The whole complex is lovely and we really appreciated the lack of crowds and casino smoke. It was pretty cold when we were here so we didn't get to use the pool (that would have been a great thing to do when we arrived and were waiting for our room. Highly recommend this place. If we return to Vegas we will stay here again. Oh, we didn't have a car, just used Uber to get around. Though they do offer a shuttle. Only asked once or twice about the time share presentation - which we were not at all interested in.

What a pleasant surprise! From the moment we arrived till check out a superb experience.
The suite was excellent, very nice and modern
Parking very convenient and free
No waiting for the elevator
No keys, wrist bands super easy to use
Free shuttle to the strip
Staff very friendly and well trained
Our first time here, usually stay at another well known time share property near planet Hollywood, this facility beats that asset hands down!
We had a car so mobility was easy to get around.
Probably the best equipped kitchen we have ever had.
This will be our new go to location in Vegas.
To the staff and management, thanks for making Christmas 2021 the best family Christmas ever!

Let’s address the shuttle. Don’t book this place on your expectations of having shuttle service you can rely on. First off, the last shuttle ride during the week is at 9:30 pm. On the weekends it runs til 1:30 am. What the resort fails to tell you anywhere (website, checkin, on literature) is that the shuttle has a seat capacity limit of around 20. It fills up really fast, and if your not at the front of the line, you may miss out. Once the seats fill up, they will deny you boarding. There is no standing room, and there isn’t another shuttle to take overflow. You have to wait another hour for the next one. Everyone gets burned, until you learn that you have to show up well before the shuttle arrives and be prepared to scurry to the door as it’s pulling up to avoid being at the back of the line. Oh, did I mention that people also “save” seats for other family members, so you may not get a seat even if there are still empty seats that are being saved. If you complain to the resort, they will tell you it’s a complimentary service and run by a third party company so there is nothing they can do. If you have dinner reservations or show tickets, don’t rely on the shuttle. Oh yeah, you also can’t bring your own alcohol to the pool, you have to buy their expensive drinks. I wish I knew about these things before we booked. Hopefully others will learn from our experience.

We stayed at the Desert Blue for one week and had a lovely time. The room was a good size with a comfortable king size bed, and very quiet so we were never disturbed during the night. The pool area was beautiful with plenty of sun loungers and a snack bar. Although we were asked if we would like to attend a timeshare presentation our decline was respectively received as we are happy with our own resort. We were disappointed that our room/bedding had not beem cleaned during our stay and it was explained that this was due to it being a timeshare hotel but we could pay extra if we wished, our own timeshare do clean the rooms half way through a weeks stay so this was unusual for us, but you could request clean towels etc. The shuttle was very much appreciated, there were always plenty of seats available and always on time, setting off from the hotel hourly and returning from the Treasure Island pick up. If we were to return we would choose this hotel again.
