ANOC is the umbrella organisation responsible for protecting and advancing the interests of the world’s National Olympic Committees (NOCs), and for supporting their mission to promote the Olympic Values worldwide. Since 1979, the number of NOCs recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and represented by ANOC has risen to up to 206.

ANOC’s Secretary General, Gunilla Lindberg (Sweden), is responsible for the day to day management and operations of the Association in consultation with the President.
