A nice pop record with Marti daring a cover version of David Bowie's "Soul Love" from Ziggy Stardust. And it's not so bad after all. In fact it is the best track of the album beside the beautiful ballads "Crusher" and "Soon I Will be Gone". But there is no really disappointing song on this album. A nice pop record, as I mentioned before. Unfortunately this is a typical 80's recording, although surprisingly produced by Don Dixon (R.E.M.).

Not as good as the debut, although this one also features husband Don Dixon, and members of the DB's and Bongos, as well as T-Bone Burnett, Paul Carrack, and Marshall Crenshaw. Many contribute songs, but it doesn't have the charm of _Unsophisticated Time_.
