Peter Parker is swinging back into action this week with Spider-Man: No Way Home, coming to theaters this weekend.

It’s the third movie starring Tom Holland as the spider-boy, and this time, his secret is out. Everyone found that Peter Parker was Spider-Man in 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Peter would give just about anything to make them forget. So he seeks out the help of the super-wizard Dr. Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch)—but something goes wrong with the making-people-forget spell, and a multiverse is opened instead. Cue the return of beloved villains from Sam Raimi’s Spiderman movies, like Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus.

It’s a nostalgia-filled superhero bonanza that you don’t want to miss, so here’s where to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home and when to expect Spider-Man: No Way Home on streaming.

WHERE TO WATCH SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME:

Right now, the only place to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home is in a movie theater when it opens in the U.S. nationwide on Friday, December 17, and in the U.K. on December 15. You can find a showing at a movie theater near you here.

After the movie’s theatrical run, you will be able to purchase Spider-Man: No Way Home on digital platforms like Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, YouTube, and Vudu.

WHEN WILL SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME BE STREAMING?

UPDATE (3/14/2022): Surprise! Spider-Man No Way Home is arriving on digital a week early, on March 15, 2022. Sony announced the new release date on Monday.

You will be able to purchase the movie for $19.99. You can preorder the film now on Amazon Prime, iTunes, Google Play, Vudu, and more. You also have the option to buy the Tom Holland Spider-Man™ three-film collection for $34.99, or as part of the Spider-Man™ eight-film bundle for $59.99.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will also release on 4K UHD and Blu-ray on April 12, 2022.

The first place Spider-Man: No Way Home will most likely go after its digital release—though it’s not guaranteed—is Starz, due to a pre-existing deal with the premium cable network. If Spider-Man does go to Starz, it will most likely be 6 to 9 months after it opens in theaters, meaning June 2022 to September 2022. It would also be available on services like Hulu with the Starz add-on.

Eventually, Spider-Man will be on Disney+, but we don’t yet know when that is. In April, Disney made a deal with Sony to bring Spider-Man and other Marvel properties to Disney Plus after the movies are released on Netflix. That deal begins with Sony’s 2022 release slate, and while it reportedly includes the entire Spider-Man franchise, Spider-Man: No Way Home will release in 2021. Therefore, it’s not clear how long Disney+ viewers will have to wait to see Spider-Man: No Way Home on Disney+.

In other words, it may be a while before Spider-Man: No Way Home is available to stream at home. If you can’t wait to see your spider-boy, you’ll want to go see this one in a movie theater.

WILL SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME BE ON HBO MAX?

No. Spider-Man: No Way Home is a Sony movie, not a Warner Bros. movie, and therefore Spider-Man: No Way Home will not be on HBO Max at the same time it is in theaters.  HBO Max—which is owned by Warner Media—has been the streaming home for blockbuster Warner Bros. theatrical movies like Dune, but it will not be the streaming home for Spider-Man: No Way Home. (At least, not any time soon.)

IS SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME ON NETFLIX?

For now, Spider-Man: No Way Home is not on Netflix. While Netflix has signed some deals to stream some 2022 Sony films after the Pay-1 window, Spider-Man: No Way Home is a 2021 movie and it’s not clear whether it will be included in that. We’ll have to wait and see.
