Denon Reveals PerL White Wireless Earbuds With Bespoke Sound

Following

Denon has launched the white version of its PerL and PerL Pro true wireless earbuds with their unique personalized sound profile which takes ear anatomy and lifestyle into account. The PerL earbuds identify those differing factors and use proprietary technology to create a custom hearing profile based on the response of the listener’s ears.

The differences in an individual’s hearing can impact how music is heard. TO counteract this, Denon developed the Masimo Adaptive Acoustic Technology (AAT) which automatically measures the outer, middle, and inner ear to see how the listener hears music. Denon says that other earbuds that produce a personal listening profile only measure the outer ear, leaving out the critical area—the middle and inner ear—where sounds are turned into signals for the brain can process.

Using artificial intelligence, the Denon PerL Headphone app can create a personalized hearing profile for each user. The result is a custom profile that enhances the depth, detail and clarity of sound, ensuring it is perfectly tuned to the listener’s hearing. I have tried the system and it works well and is the best on the market now.

When used with compatible smartphones, PerL Pro listeners can also take advantage of Qualcomm’s aptX Lossless audio codec which is included with the Pro model. The codec offers CD-quality sound wirelessly, overcoming potential loss of audio quality due to Bluetooth connectivity. The earbuds also have access to the spatial audio feature, powered by Dirac Virtuo, which creates a surround sound atmosphere in a compact and comfortable format.

So, whether you want to dive deep into a favorite album using active noise cancellation or stay aware of your surroundings with social mode, the PerL earbuds have a full arsenal of settings to produce a bespoke sound, high-quality wireless audio, spatial sound and noise canceling. While the PerL earbuds have regular active noise cancelation, the PerL Pro model offers adaptive active noise cancellation which adjusts the amount of ANC on the fly, depending on how noisy a location is.

The PerL Pro model also includes Multipoint, which enables listeners to connect two devices at the same time. For example, you can have a business phone connected as well as a digital audio player or a personal smartphone. While you are listening to music, you can seamlessly switch to taking a call on the business phone before switching back to the music when the call is over.

The entry-level PerL earbuds have up to six hours of battery life per earbud charge, which extends up to 18 hours with the reserve power held in the charging case. The PerL Pro earbuds can play for up to eight hours on a full earbud charger, while the battery in the charging case can extend the playtime to 24 hours. The premium model also has wireless charging.

Like most wireless earbuds, both pairs of earbuds have built-in microphones for phone calls and videoconferencing. The earbuds are rated at IPX4 for water and sweat resistance plus there are controls on each earbud that can be fully customized using the Denon smartphone app, which is available for Android and iOS. Denon also includes a range of ear tips and wing attachments in several sizes to ensure a good fit.

Pricing & Availability: The Denon PerL and PerL Pro in white are available from www.denon.com priced at $199 / £189 and $349 / £299 respectively.
