The new National Portrait Gallery has just reopened to the public on 22nd June following the most extensive transformation of its building since 1896. The project has comprised a complete redisplay of the Collection, a significant refurbishment of the building, the creation of new public spaces, a more welcoming visitor entrance and public forecourt, and a new learning centre.

Featured not once, but twice in the gallery are 2 Eurythmics photographs by Peter Ashworth, the famous cover he shot for The Face magazine which subsequently became the cover of Touch and a photograph of Annie wearing a pink tutu and holding a clear mask that Peter calls “Face to Face”

The image has been selected as 1 of several that have been used to promote the opening of the gallery, including on the London Underground and on the side of London buses. There was also a full-page advert in the Evening Standard last week too. Even the hoardings outside were covered in the image, as found by Eric on his recent visit to London!

The National Portrait Gallery is now open again to the public, click the link below for full details.
