The Daily Five - Integrates literacy instruction to incorporate five tasks; reading, writing, reading aloud, listening, and working diligently to building independence, stamina and accountability

Technology - Kennedy's Lower Campus provides 1:1 technology for students in grades K-5. Emphasis on Blended Learning initiatives combine face-to-face instruction and technology; utilize Chromebooks, iPads, interactive whiteboards, and a state-of-the-art 3D printer. K-2 uses the iRead digital curriculum which is an intensive phonics program taking them to mastery level of the common core standards.  This technology provides us with a predictable pathway of knowing which students are on track to pass the 3 grade reading guarantee and which students need customized instruction.

Enrichment - Unique after school programming to encourage interest in the arts, science and athletics and the opportunity to participate in the Trumbull County STEAM Program

Focus on Project Based Learning - Students gain knowledge and skills working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to authentic, engaging, and complex questions, problems, or challenges

We benchmark students 3 times a year using STAR, a computer based reading and math assessment.  Teachers then strategize directly from the results which include research based strategies to improve areas of weakness

Faculty meet meet bi-weekly to collaborate on methods to help students succeed in academics and behaviors
