A modern perspective on historic lodging in the heart of downtown Yellow Springs, the Mills Park Hotel offers gracious hospitality and luxurious accommodations that blend the comforts of home with upscale state-of-the-art amenities. Our stately suites and spacious rooms provide a relaxing haven with an exceptional attention to detail. Plantation shutters. Oak floors. Hand-laid tile. At the Mills Park Hotel, we pride ourselves on pairing classic design with modern influences. The 28-room hotel is modeled after the 19th-century home of William Mills, a local settler who is also the namesake of Mills Lawn Elementary School. Mills’ home, which was on the old site of the school, was a three-story Victorian long since torn-down; while the hotel won’t be an exact replica, it will imitate the mid-to-late-1800s style of the house and is named in honor of William Mills. Mills first financed the railroad through Yellow Springs and helped to build the town’s infrastructure. The hotel is 24,000 square feet standing three stories tall with 28 guest rooms, a restaurant, banquet hall and conference room, all of which will significantly increase the capacity for Yellow Springs to host large groups of visitors, conferences and weddings. The site also includes 81 parking spots, two bike racks, and permeable pavement to prevent runoff. The close proximity to town is one of the hotel’s main draws, being walking distance from shops, arts, college events and the Glen.

Beautiful interior, spotless, rooms are very comfortable, staff is excellent. Resturant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great food. Lovely get away place for the weekend.
The rooms are extremely quiet, the decor inside the hotel is very good a lot of it being done by local artist, the owner has even done most of all the woodwork himself including the tables, front desk.

Right in the center of downtown Yellow Springs, close to many other locations.

My wife and I spent a wonderful weekend at Mills Park. The hotel is beautiful, the service exceptional and the food was great. Modeled after some of the nicest inns in the country, Mills Park has raised the bar for hotels in the Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati areas.

Had a wonderful stay in this hotel. The ambience is wonderful, the porch is amazing, and the staff was quite helpful. Even with a faulty fire alarm wake up call, I would give it full stars 😀 The absolutely best area is the Fitness Room. It was beautiful. Having to have a cool place to stretch after a day of skating the trails was perfect. The restaurant was great at dinner. Wonderful service and fast. Though I'm not as happy with the breakfast there. They do not open until 8, and it felt like it took forever to get the food out for a group.

I really like the concept of this hotel, and its 19th century style has some nice touches, including the decor, the porch with rocking chairs, the gift shop, and the ice freezer (instead of a huge ice machine) on the floors. Their food and drinks were delicious also. And the walkable location close to downtown and the Yellow Spring nature preserve can't be beat.

There are a few improvements they could make. The air conditioning directs airflow directly onto the bed. The bathroom lighting is too harsh, especially late at night. And the walls are a bit thin, so don't expect to sleep in late here.

All in all, it was a pleasant experience.

This is great idea, a new "old hotel" built in 2015. The Hotel is a charming design, but the walls are very thin so noise from near by rooms is heard quite plainly. The furniture is not good quality and smells of out gassing. The a/c unit is a thru the wall unit and blows on the occupants. The staff is friendly and helpful, which is nice. I think with some upgrades it could be better.

Prices not too bad for all the food you get. Waffle was good except for the wax paper that came in it. The chicken pretty good two big pieces. Biscuits and gravy not very good. Bacon very dark, not quite burnt. Don't go if you're in a hurry.

Clean rooms comfortable beds. Ellie's restaurant staff are super attentive and friendly. Delicious menu choices and comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely be returning. Have stayed there three times now due to the location. We love to hike and Mills Croat is just minutes from many great places.
