Hotel is located quite close to station and it is easy to reach. instead of having the room we had ordered we got bigger room and it was wonderful. Breakfast is quite expensive but there are not cafes close to hotel - at least we did not find them. Recycling did not work really.

The hotel it self is good, nice quick check in and good rooms. What I did not care is the location, its close to Central Station and the area is not all that. I was not comfortable walking there at night.
If you go at night the other way its all seems business and it appears dead at night.

Its walking distance to old city center but like I said you will be walking through an immigrant neighborhood and even coming from NYC, I did not care for it. The saving grace on second night was a major demonstration and there was police everywhere so it felt fine.

Also keep in mind that to get to airport is very pricey from this location, with Uber came to 50 Eus and hotel said taxi would be around 90 or so.

Dear guest, Thank you for staying with us and your review. I am glad you enjoyed the quick check in and our rooms. May I suggest for your next time to use the train which takes about the same time as a cab and the cost is only € 12 including a day ticket for the Munich public transportation or € 22,30 for a group of up to 5 adults. If you are looking for a more downtown location may I suggest for your next visit our aloft Munich which will open in August 2015 - directly opposite the central station. Hope to see you back soon. Kind regards, Oliver W. Schäfer Complex General Manager

Stayed here for long weekend. We had a big double room with a huge balcony and the bathroom was immaculate. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful with everything we needed. Rooms are nice and warm and beds are very comfortable. Only a couple minutes walk from the underground and station and 2mins to city centre. Will definitely be back 👍

The main reason we booked the Four Points was that it was the only place that offered two double beds (Studio) that I could find online. It is a 5 minute walk from Hackerbrucke S-Bahn station and is situated in a quiet area (except I assume during Oktoberfest which takes place nearby!) It is a 15 minute walk into the Old Town. Trams 18 & 19 (from the main station) are also useful to know.
Very friendly and helpful reception staff - I mention Joschi, Katherina and Lara in particular.
Clean room with kitchenette, balcony, walk-in wardrobe and free internet. Very comfy beds, sofa, desk. The sound-proofing was excellent and we hardly ever heard other guests.
No restaurant although limited catering is available to the rooms in the evening. Bar very small. However the breakfast buffet was very good (although rather expensive at 16 euros each), and included cooked option as well as cheeses cold meats fresh fruit and cakes. We also requested fresh milk for tea-making in the room which was provided.
Our room was not without problems (safe jammed with our stuff in it, light in wardrobe not working) but these were swiftly and efficiently put right (thanks Daniel!) and did not detract from our overall experience.
If visiting Munich once more I would happily stay here again.

This is a repeat review since I want to share our continuous satisfaction with this hotel for more than 5 years by now. We stay there occasionally on spontaneous trips to Munich but also every time, mostly with friends, during the last Oktoberfest weekend in early October. We can well imagine how stressful and demanding this time is for the staff: lots of drunk guests (in any place that is) and full house - if not overbooked - for 16 days in a row. Despite all of that, we always experience perfect service and a very friendly team with a great service minded attitude. Beyond any doubt, 99 out of a 100 hotel worldwide would not manage to provide that excellent service during such an extremely busy time over a longer duration. We always return with pleasure. I did positively comment on the rooms in my first review. I wish to reiterate that this building, the rooms and the public restaurant, are all very well maintained. There is no sign of age at all. Will certainly go back and keep up the good spirit and great work!

While some might prefer to have a hotel directly in the centre of the touristy part of the city, sometimes it is nice to be able to go to a hotel in a more quiet, residential area, within a short distance from all the central attractions and sites. Firstly, in terms of location and accessibility to public transit, this hotel is perfect. A 10 minute walk along well-lit, safe streets gets you to/from the main train station where you can get trains/public transit almost anywhere, including the airport. Plus it is far enough away that you won't hear any trains roaring by your hotel. As for getting to/from the central Munich tourist areas and sites, it is a little farther, perhaps 15-20 minutes walking to get to Marienplatz, and from there you can instantly immerse yourself into the heart of Munich. If you are looking for a hotel with Marienplatz, or the like, right at your door, this is not it. But you will have to pay much more to get it.

As for the hotel itself, our stay was great, but, unfortunately it was only for 2 nights. The service at the front desk was efficient and pleasant. The staff were helpful with directions and suggestions. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a 1-bedroom suite on the top floor, which had a small kitchenette and a little terrace overlooking the surrounding neighbourhood. Much bigger than I expected for a european hotel, the room was comfortable and quiet.

We did not eat at the hotel, but there are restaurants nearby in surrounding neighbourhoods, either walking distance or short transit/taxi rides. It was nice to be in a place like this because we felt we were eating in places away from the tourist crowds, in more authentic establishments where locals would go. Occasionally this resulted in some language difficulties, but generally everyone is accommodating and open-minded and we did not have one bad experience. When we return to Munich, this will be there first hotel I check for our stay. It was excellent.

We (family of 4) stayed for a week in a suite. We would definitely stay here again. Clean & spacious rooms and attentive staff. We watched the World Cup final with the staff. It was great.

Join SPG (Starwood Preferred Guests) in advance and request a 5th floor room with views over the alps.

We had a suite and the room was quite spacious and comfortable, complete with small kitchenette and big walk-in closet. For us the wifi was included and worked well, so that was a plus. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the nearest subway stop, and about a 15-minute walk to the Hauptbanhof -- so, not right around the corner from either, but a reasonably good location, in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood.

We spent four nights (two adults and two teenage kids) in this well-located and quite modern hotel in Munich. It is quite close to the central station and we carted our luggage there and back -other hotels are closer it is true, but we found it well worth the extra effort. The hotel is pleasant, quiet, and clean. Breakfast was ample, and included a wide variety of different products. The room for four was ample for the four of us. What we liked most about the hotel was the staff, they were at all times courteous and attentive, and helped us find restaurants and all sorts of odds and ends. The pillows are extremely soft, but a charming receptionist came up with an ideal solution and brought it to our room herself. Ten out of ten for customer care. All in all, we were very happy with our stay in this hotel.

This hotel is pretty simple but rooms are clean, staff is friendly/helpful, and it is just a short walk to the train station. Lots of small shops and cafes in the area. Taxi stand on the corner is very convenient. Breakfast is available but only buffet so we chose to eat elsewhere. Bar in lobby. Free wi-fi in lobby with 2 computers, otherwise pay approximately 20 euro for wi-fi in room. also has a fitness center, but we did not take advantage of this :)

Fyi we came from airport via Lufthansa bus (10.50 euro/person) which arrives at Central Station, then we took a taxi because we had lots of luggage, which was another 10 euro. Otherwise walk is about 20 minutes.
