Behr Deck over worked great for my project. I painted over my 60 year old basement steps.Behr worked great filling cracks imperfections. Also it made my creeky steps quite. I would recommend cleaning your brush every hour it gums up the brush.

Keeps wood deck protected, you can get it in any color, provides non-slip surface after a rain, lasts a reasonably long time before another coat is needed, no noxious fumes, dries pretty quick in one day.

Always use this product. First two coats lasted 6 years. Still looked above Aveage. Two more coats. Looks like new. I look for this to last 15 years or longer with the four coats. Holds up great even in the Florida sun. Use behr in the house also.

the associate at home depot said i would only need one coat but it needed two, but nevertheless it looks great, nice color and the texture will keep us from falling the porch looks great and we are all happy

Great cover. Easy to apply

I've used this product before, on a much higher quality wood deck that had many narrow surface cracks. That deck ended up looking almost like new. The deck surface I just restored was in far worse shape, but after I'd filled the widest cracks with Bondo and sanded the deck, I applied one coat of Deckover and was pleased with the results. As advertised, the product can deal with cracks less than 1/4 inch wide (anything wider and you'll need crack filler, or even to consider replacing the plank if rot is present). The deck looks much better now, and feels OK under bare feet. I used a heavy, wide paint brush to apply the Deckover. It's like painting with mud :-) However, I don't think a roller would have worked as well, due to the somewhat uneven surface.

Went on great and covered small cracks. Wold use again.

Love this product! I have used this on my porch and steps at both houses!

I used textured deck over a few times. Always used a brush, not roller as instructions indicate. Used 1/2 in roller nap this time. Disappointed in product’s ability to fill even small cracks, let alone up to 1/4 inch ones. Roller just didn’t do the job. Brush was much better

The paint was excellent and applied easily.

only covers 75ft per can. Takes 5 hours to dry - if you get textured it grabs dirt more easily and harder to remove. I wouldn’t use it if you have a dog.

I have used this product on two projects. Both of them are wood surfaces. One worked and the other did not. It must be applied to a stable surface. 1. One case was a deck over my garage that had plywood sheets as the surface. This was easy to roll the DeckOver onto. After three years it began to leak and I just repainted with the DeckOver but a little more carefully. 2.. The second one was a staircase made of logs cut in half lengthwise. The flat side was the stepping surface for the stairs. They had begun to rot from water that penetrated into the wood. I repair them with wood epoxy and then painted with the DeckOver. But the temperature extremes caused the wood to expand and contract that cracked the paint. Then water would enter the wood and start rotting again. This was solved with metal stair treads that completed covered the step.

Excellent product to cover and texture concrete decks and sidewalks. Easy to spread and drys to a nice hard texture. The temperature must be warm for it to dry quickly.

Great paint, no problems applying! Held up well after 2 heavy rains a plus!

The product needs good prep. It most likely needs 3 coats for a standard front porch of 15x6.

Just did a second application on our porch. First one lasted 3 years.

Very disappointed with this product, it did not cover as described

Being a novice painter, I found the paint a little thicker than I expected and thus a little harder to evenly spread over the whole deck. Overall I think the paint will do what was needed in protecting the deck. Time will tell, as the deck is exposed to the sun most of the day and that will have more of an impact than the light snow and rain that we get here.

Easy to apply, looks great.

While the prepping process was not easy, once the surface was ready, painting was a breeze. I used the DeckOver paint on a staircase that gets heavy traffic, including 4 dogs that run up and down all day, and so far it looks perfect. (Two months since painting). I followed the directions and put down two coats, so I expect this paint job to last at least a few years. Definitely worth the money, time, and effort.
