Quote3Hooloo
"I am finished with your nonsense. You've killed everyone..
All of the kings, all 5 of them, are gone because of you.
All I wanted was some land to occupy.. to grow in..
..and you couldn't even let me have that.
If you can't let me have that, then I can't let you live.
Goodbye."

"..
You have fought hard to reach this far..
...
YOU KNOW WHAT? IM DONE PLAYING GAMES
I WILL KILL ALL OF YOU ONE BY ONE FOR ONCE.
I GUESS I WILL KILL YOU MYSELF!"
―Void on Wave 38 of Classic

Not to be confused with Void2 or SpecialVoid.

Description

Void is the final boss of Classic, spawning at Wave 38. It is extremely large and has many powerful abilities at its disposal, as well as having extremely large amounts of health and damage.

Appearance

Void is a gargantuan zombie, dwarfing all NPC zombies before it. It has dark purple skin, veins over the entire body, humanoid shapes bulging from its legs and torso, a glowing fuchsia core crystal on its chest, and wears a crown reminiscent of the Void Star.

Abilities

Screech

A few seconds after spawning and immediately upon activation of rage mode, Void screeches, killing all towers on the map instantly.

Void Nexus (Passive)

If there is at least 1 Guardian alive, Void gains a 50% global resistance.

Punch

Void punches a tower in the vicinity, dealing 50,000 damage, with an attack rate of 1.5 seconds, (0.5 second windup and a 1 second cooldown). This ability has multitarget and shield piercing.

Strike

A long trail of warning circles appear in front of Void, and then it slams down on the ground after 1s, creating a series of shockwaves, instantly killing anyone caught.

Summon

Void stops for 4s and spawns 5 Spawn1s, 3 Spawn2s, 4 Spawn3s, or 3 Spawn4s in front of itself. This has a 20s cooldown.

Stomp

Void stops and stomps on the ground after 1s, creating a very large shockwave that deals 80% + 250 damage, and inflicts ragdoll for 5s.

Destruction

In Blocky Castle, Void will destroy any house or tower that it comes into contact with.

Rage Mode

Upon reaching 50% HP, Void will Screech, raising its speed to 22, increasing Strike and Summon animation speed by 20%, producing Boss2 particles, and now being able to one-shot vehicles using its Stomp ability for the duration of the boss fight.

Emergency Reinforcements

Void has reinforcements that will spawn in to assist it at certain health percentages. They are listed as follows:

Strategy

Towers

  • Kill the two Guardians that spawn before Void as fast as possible because they grant the Void 50% global resistance.
    • Do not let Void be stuck at unfavorable spawns that are away from convenient lines of sight of other spawns. Examples include the spawn behind the big rock at Eggcellent Meadows and the back spawn of Store.
  • Void Traitors are able to do a lot of DPS to the other zombies spawning throughout the wave as they'll die in one punch to Void.
    • Clearing the other zombies massively helps your team not get spawn-camped by raged Boss5s and Fire Spirits, since they'll easily kill any tower that is not you or a Golden Zed.
  • Try not to make Void follow you behind walls and into trees, as this cuts off bullets and beams.
  • Maxed Zeds are able to deal very high damage to the Void, and their splash is good at best in handling the spawns. Attack from a distance, however, as Void's strikes and stomps destroy Zeds easily.
  • Golden Commandos and Exterminators are a great way to deal with the Void, however, they are only good to use when zombies are being distracted by other towers.
  • Phasers do a lot of damage to Void, and a lot of them can kill it very hastily. They will, however, die frequently, no matter how far away one may be from Void, there is still a likely chance for them to die, as there is always many zombies running around, and Phasers are squishy targets.
    • Tropical Islands is a very much good choice for being more impervious to this effect, as it has many spawns and is very open. Do note that they can still be spawn-camped if other zombies are not cleared.
  • A maxed Golden Zed can help kill Void pretty quickly due to its high DPS, but one is not required as Void isn't the toughest boss out there.
    • To maximize the amount of damage you are dealing, always try to ram other NPC zombies while shooting Void, allowing fragile towers to be able to survive longer than what the spawn protection gives. Menu quickly after you die so that you can continue shooting.
  • Try to spread out instead of staying near each other, especially if you are a Golden Zed, and unless being an eligible tower boosted by a Commander. This way, zombies will have to take more time to get from you to other towers.

Zombies

While most do not own the playable version of Void, there are still many ways to bend Void's size and behavior in your favor as zombies.

  • When Void is about to screech, hide, as it is not worth it to lose your HP trying to kill a tower about to be killed anyways.
  • Prioritize killing towers that are attacking NPC Guardians instead of Void, as NPC Guardians give Void a global resistance.
    • A good tactic is to simply be near them, as splash damage from Golden Zed, Zed, and Void Traitor would hit you and take away their spawn protection, cutting their lifespan by a lot.
  • If you're playing as Planet3arth, you'll want to be massacring Phasers. They're coarse, rough, irritating, and they get everywhere, eventually becoming unmanageable.
  • Boss5 and Guardian are decent options during the final wave. When using Boss5, don't get distracted by Void Traitors. Instead, prioritize tanky towers such as Zed, Golden Commando, or even Golden Zed, as they deal lots of damage.
    • When using Guardian, stay near NPC Guardians and defend and mimic them, as you will make towers attack you instead of it, and you can ward off Void Traitors.
  • Kings are a must-have. Between King Boss3 and King Boss4, the former has higher speed allowing you to deal with far away towers easier, while the latter is slower but tankier and more efficient in its punches, but damage may get soaked up by other towers.
    • Use King Boss4 in smaller maps and when a Planet3arth is assisting you.
  • Lords are an excellent choice. Lord Boss3 is a must-use in bigger maps like Grassy Plains, it can catch towers sniping Void in a short amount of time. Lord Boss4 should be used in smaller maps, and you'll want to do the same that King Boss4 does.
  • If there's a Golden Zed, ALWAYS have someone in pursuit of it, preferably a Boss5 or Lord Boss4. A zombie victory with a Golden Zed is possible, but is very difficult to pull off.

Trivia

  • In the April Fools 2019 Event, the Void was replaced with Conehead.
  • Void's Destruction ability was added when Jack91 hid behind two Blocky Castle houses as Golden Commando to perform the first recorded solo game in the game's history.
    • It was otherwise impossible to win, as Void had too much HP to be beaten unless it was being attacked constantly.
  • Wave 38's theme as a whole used to be Resident Evil 5 Soundtrack: Killers, but it got changed in Update 1.21 to Sonic 3 Major Bosses, which started playing after its dialogue ended. Then, Resident Evil 5 Soundtrack: Killers played when the first Guardian spawned.
    • However, Update 1.22 changed the theme to Carpenter Brut - You're Mine.
      • It was changed back to Killers due to You're Mine getting taken down for copyright.
        • As of 12/31/23, Carpenter Brut - You're Mine was re-added as the new Wave 38 theme.
  • According to Thael, Void's official title is "King of All Zombies".
  • Void is tied with SpecialVoid for the most amount abilities out of anything in the game with 9 in total. Behind it are Void2 and Special Void2 who both have 7.
