As with many kids' films, I've watched this probably 30 times start to finish. They all get old after a while, but this film is so well-done that I find myself admiring the work even when I swear I'm going to shoot myself if I have to watch it again.
Veggie Tales is fantastic at making biblical stories easy to understand, and the animation and adaptation of the story makes it easy for children of all ages to relate to them.
The music on this soundtrack is phenomenal. After the first time I watched this, I bought the CD to play in the car so I could sing along with the movie more quickly!
This was an outstanding piece of work - I hope to see new Veggie Tales movies in the near future!

We had this CD for years and listened to it over and over and over again! It got misplaced but with the release of the new Pirates Who Don't Do Anything movie, we were inspired to search for it. Unfortunatley we didn't find it but thanks to Amazon, it's still for sale. If you're looking for something silly and fun to sing with your kids go ahead and get this CD- ya'll won't be disappointed! By the way, if your kids are Relient K fans or Newsboys fans this CD offers two hits by both and all of my kids- 16, 11 and 5- love those songs as much as the others! It's great for in the car!!!

I bought this soundtrack for a couple of songs in particular for a road trip. It is exactly what I wanted! It was an awesome deal as well!

I thought I was downloading the movie... just got the sound track. It wasn't good. Wish I knew now to get my money back. :(

The soundtrack for Jonah is one that I love listening to, and think back on often. Catchy, Fun, Nostalgic. :)

Big Idea's first full length movie gets a complete CD all to itself. 7 of the tracks are instrumentals from the movie's score, but the other 12 are songs from the movie.
My biggest complaint is that we get a few half songs. "Bald Bunny" and "Steak and Shrimp" are really more pointless then normal, even for Big Ideas. However, these are off-set by the songs recorded by regular Christian artists.
"Second Chances," straight from the movie and sung by Anointed, is a fun toe taping song. Chris Rice provides all 12 verses for "Billy Joe McGuffrey." Relient K does a wonderful cover of "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything." I'll admit, it too me a couple listens to fully appreciate it, but I love it. Probably my favorite is "In the Belly of the Whale" by Newsboys. It makes me laugh so much.
Of course, there are songs recorded by the "veggies" on here as well. The best song related to the movie is "Jonah was a Prophet." And if you're looking for this movie's version of a silly song, skip to "Credits Song." I was laughing so hard when I first heard it, I had to pull my car to the side of the road.
I'm not usually a fan of soundtrack albums, but I'm certainly glad I bought this one. The songs I've highlighted make it more then worth while.

If you liked the movie you will love this CD. I bought it just for the Anointed song (Second Chances, the song inside the whale). But I found that the whole CD was great. As always with VeggieTales, the quality is very high (this is the movie whose budget supposedly bankrupted the company a few years ago). If you are a fan already, get it!
