This german press is very good. The Honeycombs is a treasure and Joe Meek was a genius.

Replete with (the British Phil Spector) Joe Meek’s inventive production echo effects, compression & space sounds plus one of the first female drummers, the HC’s possess an early 60’s UK beat style rock & roll sound ranging from bouncy pop to over-the-top dramatic balladry to proto-garage rock combined w/ an impassioned & attention-getting visual edge.
Innovative early 60’s beat-pop.- Of course this is not true stereo (producer Joe Meek was strictly a mono man) but it doesn't sound awful the way most rechanneled for stereo LPs do. It sounds like mono.

another great Honeycombs LP, the high point among many being their version of 'It Ain't Necessarily So', with a guitar solo that anticipates the Seeds or the Modern Lovers (not sure which)- I have an identical copy of this Honeycomb album, but has printed "stereo" on the very top. Top right corner INS-88001. Back top right 88001 Interphone. Label is light blue w/black lettering, IN-88001, Stereo, (64-6633). A side: 64-6632S S1 ^7179, B side:64-6632S S2 ^7179x. Plays in Mono. What to do?
