Brent Horne and Lauren Caitlin "Caite" Upton are a team of Dating Models on The Amazing Race 16.

Caite came into the race looking to prove her intelligence after an infamous faux pas during her past exploits in a beauty pageant. Unfortunately for Caite, some of their competitors recognized her and allegedly began mocking her during the first leg, leading to a rivalry between them and Carol & Brandy. Brent & Caite struggled in the early legs, frequently bickering with each other, misreading clues, and having trouble with navigation. However, other teams tended to make fatal mistakes or encounter bad luck, allowing them to make it to the second half of the race, where they began working closely with Louie & Michael. In Singapore, their rivalry with Carol & Brandy came to a head when the models U-Turned their rivals, knocking them out of the race. The models then began putting in stronger results due to their alliance with the detectives, allowing them to make it to the final three, where they fell behind early on in the final leg after getting a bad taxi driver. Though Brent & Caite were briefly able to catch up to Jet & Cord, they made one final mistake by leaving their fanny pack with their money and passports behind, forcing them to backtrack and dooming them to finish in 3rd place.

Notes: 1: Brent & Caite initially arrived 2nd, but were issued a 30-minute penalty for going on foot instead of taking the Ascensor Artillería after the Roadblock as instructed in their clue; five teams checked-in during the penalty time, dropping them to 7th. 2: Brent & Caite left the Pit Start 3 hours and 5 minutes after their scheduled departure time because both had to be treated for dehydration at the emergency room in a local hospital. They departed last instead of 4th. 3: Brent & Caite initially arrived 6th, but missed the clue at the U-Turn, having arrived at their additional task by chance. They had to backtrack to the U-Turn to retrieve their clue. This did not affect their placement. 4: Brent and Caite initially arrived 3rd, but did not complete the Detour, having arrived at the Pit Stop accidentally by chance after following Carol & Brandy. They had to backtrack to complete the Detour and later checked in 6th. 5: Leg 10 had two Roadblocks and no Detour. The team member who sat out the first Roadblock was required to perform the second one.

Post-Race[]

Caite confirmed that she and Brent broke up after the race due to the long distance.^[2]
Caite married Charlie McNeil in 2016,^[3] but later divorced in 2019.^[4]
Brent got married on December 21, 2018.^[5]
In January 2020, Caite gave birth to a son with her new boyfriend.^[6]

Trivia[]

Caite is the first female under the age of 21 to compete in The Amazing Race on a standard format (this would have later broken by Adele Bespalov). Caite remained the youngest female competitor in the US Version until Maya Mody in The Amazing Race 36.
Caite is the youngest female finalist in standard format at the age of 20.
- She would remain the youngest female finalist by date of birth until Lexi Beerman competed in The Amazing Race 21.
