Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Happy with purchase I originally had an Onkyo TX-S939, but was wanting to move to a receive that supports height speakers for Atmos, originally I was looking at Onkyo, but after doing a bit of research, found this gem. I've heard people say that music is a little less lively from Denon, but I have not found that to be the case, and as far as surround sound, I feel like I'm in the middle of the action. even playing Mario Kart, I can hear the players coming up behind me, which helps in deflecting shots. I also have a tcl 6 series mini led tv, which is fantastic, and use Polk speakers, they are from when I bought the original onkyo system, and I was on a budget, so I have 2 T50 towers, 2 T15 Bookshelf, and 1 T30 Center channel, as well as ps10(subwoofer, I believe that is the model for that). I would recomend this receiver to anyone wanting a budget surround system. as a side note, I have a Hue sync box between the receiver and TV, the only component that doesn't play nice with that is the 4k Blu-ray, but the tv has more HDMI ports, and the Blu-ray player has a second HDMI port for sound only to goto the receiver... I will be adding height speakers soon, but until, it is really immersive.

Is the wifi 2.4 or 5 or both?

How many different sources can I play at the same time to have different sounds coming from different channels? For example, can I play different sources of music (cell phone & inputs to the receiver) to have 7 different sounds from the 7 channels?

Hello, As with all of our AVRs, only one source can be played at a time in any zone. The best you can do is have one source playing in the Main Zone while playing a different source in Zone 2, but it is not possible to have multiple sources playing in the Main Zone simultaneously.

Hi. Can I have 2 of AVR-S760H in my house next to each other? Both units will be connected to the same home Wi-Fi system. I will use one of them for my TV surround sound and the second unit either for another TV surround sound or for listening to music.

Hello, Yes - two AVR-S760Hs are able to funtion while sitting next to each other, operating from a wireless signal from a single Wi-Fi router.

Hello. Yes - the AVR-S760H allows for you to transmit audio content wirelessly either via Wi-Fi or via Bluetooth. When you download the free HEOS app, Wi-Fi transfer to the AVR-S760H is as easy as it is via Bluetooth. The HEOS app also allows you to stream music from a wide range of popular streaming services such as; Amazon HD, Tidal Hi-Fi, Spotify, Pandora and TuneIn Radio.

Can I use this receiver to play music on a pair of wired outdoor speakers and 2 wireless heos speakers while simultaneously sending tv audio to a 2.1 wired speaker setup?

Hello. Yes - the AVR-S760H can do everything you describe. We recommend using an HDMI cable to connect the AVR-S760H to a TV using the eARC ports at both ends. The Surround Back speakers will need to be assigned to Zone 2 duties (outdoor speakers). In Multichannel Stereo, I am not getting sound to the Surround sound Rear speakers. The manual says multichannel stereo plays to all speakers. Do I need to do something to get sound to the rear speakers in this mode?

Hello. If you haven't checked recently, have look to see if you have the latest firmware update. One of the newest featured added was Multi-channel Stereo went from five speakers to all Main Zone speakers driven. If it's not a firmware update, then this probably requires a little trouble-shooting. check to see if the rear surround speakers have been assigned to Zone 2 duties with your AVR-S760H. can you Bluetooth a subwoofer

Hello, While there is no provision to pair a sub-woofer with the AVR-S760H via Bluetooth, it is possible to use a wireless sub-woofer in another room when paired with any of our Home speakers for an audio feed in other Zones. All speakers in the Main Zone/Surround set-up would need to be hard-wired, including the subwoofer.
