The second time that we came, we were on a cruise and the day in port didn't align with the markets, so missed them entirely. Vowing not to let that happen again, we intentionally scheduled our stay in Aix to align with the markets...and once again we were not disappointed.
Aix's markets are every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and actually there are multiple markets throughout the city....clothing in one area, handicrafts in another, produce is a couple more. All are fantastic and all offer great buys and opportunities for learning. The produce available is unbelievable and if you want herbs, this is the place to get them. We purchased a huge kilo bag of herb du provence, which we divided up at home and gave out as gifts.

Lovely produce, spices, cheese , fish, flowers.,bread, and more, We visit Aix every summer and this market is always a treat.
